What is EuroSpore?

Welcome to EuroSpore!

EuroSpore is a Video Gaming Forum that was actually born out of a single game, Spore and its expansion pack, Galactic Adventures. Although there is a spin-off game (coming soon) called DarkSpore, the Administration and Moderation Team have decided to expand the forum to incorporate all video games as the discussions have expanded into other areas.

EuroSpore, as an idea, was born on 21st May 2009 on The Sporum (Spore Forum) for European based Sporeons to gather and discuss Spore. This was because the European Forums were either under-populated, or badly run (which to be honest was probably why they were underpopulated). The thread and group grew rapidly and became extremely popular, until in February 2010 the thread glitched. A new thread was created, at around the same time the old thread was Melvin'd (a Sporum glitch where all the posts got deleted).

After all this, in March 2010, it was decided to create EuroSpore, and many members moved across to here and The European Club continued on... now known as EuroSpore.

Throughout this year, the forum's focus has become less and less on Spore and Galactic Adventures and has expanded into other video games and general disucssions about various other topics. So it has been decided to invite others to the party who have not necessarily even heard of Spore, let alone seen it online or in a shop.

Original Mission Statement

Yes, there is a European Forum, however, it seems to be the general opinion that the forum is badly organised and underpopulated (now, yes, the second reason maybe because we're all here, but the first reason is why we are here).

This "Club" is so that the Europeans on this site can exchange creations, ideas and the like in a friendly and comfortable environment. To qualify as a member you must either be from a European country, or live in one. All non-Europeans are welcome to comment, but we politely ask that you do not promote your own creations here (unless it is to do with a contest open to all) or has a European theme or inspiration.

It originally started on the the Sporum, but started to lag a lot, so this forum was created. The European Club thread IS no longer active.

Hopefully, this forum will not be underpopulated, and is better organised than the European Forum run by EA!
