Inspiration
What inspires you to do something, be it artistic, writing a piece of fiction/non-fiction, etc. Is it music? Is it art? Is it a person in life? Is it a religion?
Personally, music inspires me. There's nothing better to do when relaxing than put my head phones on, lie on the sofa, and listen to the Raiders March.

They were good films, they were.
Except for the new one. That was awful.

Re: Inspiration
I didn't like it as much as the others myself. It just lacked the true 'Indy' element. Of course, we should know that Thomas is greatly inspired by the late Carl Sagan. May his soul rest in peace.

Re: Inspiration
The new one is currently on the tv :-) I like it.
On topic: Usually what inspires me to draw and/or write, is mostly games and movies.
That can really set me in the mood to write reading-adventure-games and make some war/different draws.
Although sometimes I get inspired out of nowhere, I just think about it and then develop it. That has happened too.

The fourth one completely lacked the quality that made the others good, and they went way too far with the aliens and everything.

Re: Inspiration
I sometimes get inspired, and get a good idea (this happens all the time for ideas for music), but cannot make them a reality.
EDIT: And bringing 'Mutt' in was a bit of a 'meh' moment.

Sometimes that happens to me too.
But it´s good to think about it and develop it as what it could be :-)
Games sure inspire me a lot. If I´m messing around with one I truly like, I start getting ideas to write my own thing then start thinking about it for a few days. It feels nice when you´re in that mood.

I really enjoy games with good stories that really engage you-where you have to think to understand the story.

Indeed.
It´s the best element of a game, in my opinion. If it has a great, interesting, cool, surprising story, it probably conquered me already.
A great example of this is the Marathon series. What an epic story. Very, very cool. And the graphics are from the 90´s so many people don´t appreciate it. But to me, it´s one of the best games ever.
There are many others game whose stories I really enjoy. Metro 2033, for example. I really like to get caught up in the plot and imagine as if it was actually me that was there. Living the adventure.
That´s what a truly game experience is for me.

That's not English, right?
A very nice song, even if I don't understand the lyrics.

I just play games for fun to be honest. If I want to think, I compose music/write a story.
No it isn't English I don't understand it either.

For inspiration, I turn to animals for literature (It's amazing what you can write from seeing animals in their home.) and the native americans for art and music.

I also have games I play just for a good old fun
Overlord is what I´m playing right now and is very funny and cool ^^
I don´t compose music but I do write. What I usually write is adventure games, where the reader decides its own fate. I´m actually writing one right now

On the note of games, If you like Danmaku style games, you have to try the Freeware game, FRAXY.

Great music soundtracks can have an inspirational feel on me.
But I usually listen to them when I already have the idea, to keep the spirit up.

My parents and I used to listen them a LOT when I was younger. I think she was one of the reasons I like a large variety of music. This is the most inspiring song for me. I went to the Lion King musical and when they sang this I was breathless. It's astounding to hear live. If you go to London anytime soon, you must see the Lion King musical.

Re: Inspiration
And how could I forget two of my favourite tunes of all time. I seriously consider them to be very, very cool ^^
These soundtracks can really get me in a great feel to write or draw something futuristic and different. Love ´em :-P
Not only because of how cool they sound, but also because they are linked to one of my favourite games ever.
