Insanity?

Insanity. Its something that i believe a person will experience at least once in there life. Were it feels like something else grabs the reins or like theres something in the back of your mind screwing with everything you perceive as normal. Ok, so i know ive had a few moments where everything goes hazy and i end up acting like a completely different person but i just found myself wondering, has anyone else had this same kind of thing? Just curious to see if im the only complete nutter on the forum or what....

This and i like to create strange conversations... Meh, im a weird kind of guy.

Sanity is in the eyes of the beholder. I wouldn't go as far as to say it doesn't exist.

I am insane on a voluntary basis, it is my way of dealing with the world.

Of course, I am not properly insane - that is an involuntary state, I just expect insanity from both myself and others. It is my default setting.

Sanity is just the set of rules by which society is thought to behave most often.

Insanity is a very subjective concept, are you talking about some form of mental illness, or something else?

Well beyond mental disorders, insanity is what ever you perceive as insane. Some people think its insane to jump off a bridge with nothing but an ankle strap attached to a bungee cord, others think its insane to want to be an accountant (me being on of those people who think that).

I'm not insane, not normal, but not insane. Everyone has those moments where logic seems to fly out the window jakster, so no your not alone Wink

Like Remi said, insanity is in the eye of the beholder.

Unless you mean criminally insane, or something. Those people have legal rights to insanity.

I'm pretty sane most of the time from society's perspective.

Usually when I go insane, I don't remember it. How would I even know if I forget it? I can't remember being insane before.

And by Insane, I mean random and insane.

Well, you're not alone. I myself live life in the insane department.

Not mental illness wise, I'm just past the point where sanity is useful. I'm of the opinion everyone has to be insane in their own little way to make their life seem less pointless. Everyone has a certain quirk, a certain unique aspect about themselves others may deem as unnatural.

Insanity inspires creativity.

Some of the more brilliant minds in our history were not mentally stable but, imo, they were more human being than the drones I see on the streets wearing suits, punching away at their iphones.

You're only insane if society deems you are. Clinical insanity though is applicable if the person cannot perform basic functions necessary to maintain their well being due to some form of mental illness.

But, imo, we're all insane and we're all abnormal. Anyone who says they are 100% sane and normal is either boring as SPORE or insecure.
