I just got a Xbox!!

Well, the world's all about the money now as it seems, so I wouldn't be surprised.

I wanted a PS3 as well, but they're $300....

A couple hours? Geez....I'll probably get too into to check the time.

I had my PS3 on for about 8 hours yesterday, I expect an Xbox can cope with that too.

I want an Xbox though.

Each has it's merits. Each, also, has games that you cannot get for others. I chose a PS3 because of Resistance (not available on Xbox). The Wii is fantastic, but the games tend to be quite childish. PS3 and Xbox are much of a muchness when it comes down to it, just the Xbox is cheaper in both the short and long term. I personally want all 3, I am not a slave to any particular one other than that I only a have a PS3 atm.

Besides, the PC and Mac pwn all three since they are easier to update, and make customisation of games easier. Most games are developed on PC's and Macs anyway.

...My bro has both resistances. He also has Bioshock 1-2, Uncharted: drake's fortune 1-2, Killzone 2, LBP ( little big planet ), 3D dot game hero....and....that's all I remember.

I'm a true gamer nerd at heart...I own a high powered PC for exclusive PC games, a PS3 for exclusives, and an Xbox for exclusives.

Xbox doesn't have Killzone 2, so I buy PS3 for Killzone 2. One example.

I think I've said it before, but the three main consoles are all good at different things, though with Move and Kinetic, Wii has lost it's edge.

I want an Xbox because Kinect looks better than Move and I want Halo. I have a PS3 though.

I have a high-powered PC (sort of) and Spore looks awesome on it, and a Laptop.

I have a question though, do Xbox controllers work on PC's?

Yes they do. Don't remember what game it was, but my old roommates used them. Was a shooter game.

Thanks, just in device drivers list when I check game controller options, it has Xbox Controller as an option

I was never aware of that, though I'm curious as whether that is only wired controllers, or if there is some way to get wireless ones to work on the PC as well

You should be able to use a wireless Xbox controller on the PC, they are made for both console and PC gaming after all.

oh. I was just unsure as I would have thought you'd need to get some sort of infrared sensor to pick up the remote for it to work on the computer
