Don't talk or text in a movie theater
I love this movie theater and their policy but it's priceless the customer even bothered to call. Especially when she sounds like a Jersey shore train wreck who thinks she's all that.
When I went to see Gothika in the theater, there was this guy who started talking rather loudly during the film. A few moments later, one of the other patrons got up, shuffled over to him and kindly asked him to quit talking. At this point, the guy got up himself to reveal he was on the phone with someone talking about how bad the movie is. He completely ignored the other guy and casually walked out of the room blaring on.
There was a short applause and the other guy went back to his seat to enjoy the rest of the movie.

Really? It says at the start of like EVERY movie EVER that you're not supposed to talk or text while the movie is playing. Honestly.

It is hard to text when your phone is off - all the cinemas I have ever visited ask you switch your phone off. Of course, I always (and I suspect others) put it on silent.
Re: Don't talk or text in a movie theater
When going to the movies, people just want to watch movies. If you need to make a call during a movie:
The Right way: You walk outside the theater and do your conversation out there.
The Wrong Way: Stay where you are and talk there.
The Failure of a Way: Talk loudly in the theater to the point where everyone is angry. Then someone decides to confront you and asks you to stop talking and leave, and you get in an argument with said person. Finally, they kick you out of the theater, for life, and you don't understand why.
Obviously the person mentioned in that video did things the fail way. Cheers.

You didn't mention the other right way, which was to ignore the call, and phone back later.

It's very annoying when this happens. Most people, I included, want to have a pleasant experience and be able to focus fully on the movie, especially since they paid for it.
My girlfriend and I once had to sit next to these two guys who kept checking messages and chatting, not paying proper attention to the movie. We sat somewhere else on the second half.

True, it's like the existence of voicemail vanished into oblivion.Trickatel wrote:You didn't mention the other right way, which was to ignore the call, and phone back later.

When I go to the movies, I always turn my phone off, not only because I don't want to p-off everyone in the theatre if it goes off, but secondly, I'm trying to watch the movie. Thats the point of going to the movies. You don't go there to text or make phone calls.
That person in the video rally really could not be more stupid. First she says she wasn't aware she could text in the theatre, then she tried to cover herself and say she was using it as a flashlight to get to her seat (despite that not being the case due to the previous statement), then she says she wasn't aware she could text again. How bad at lying can you be?

Wait... why would you go to a theatre, pay money to watch a movie, then not watch the movie and instead chat on your phone? Why? Why waste money like that for no reason? It makes no sense.

Some people are just jerks. And some people are jerks who are bad at lying, apparently.
