When celebrities tick you off... Empty When celebrities tick you off...

Post by Arkanay Sat Apr 09, 2011 8:42 pm

Celebrities, celebrities...

There are some we like and enjoy watching/hearing, while there are others we wish they could be shipped to outter space and don't be allowed to return.

Basically, use this topic to share with the community something a celebrity has done that has annoyed you. Politicians, musicians, actors, hosts, etc.
It can feel good to put stuff like that out there. Wink

I'll start:

- Tyra Banks. I think the Tyra Banks Show is one of the most ridiculous things ever created. She sometimes takes professionals there to talk about something health/safety related and, when I feel they know what they're talking about, I end up feeling sorry for them. She is not professional and, honestly, she's a little dumb. She makes funny faces when someone does something different in their life and that is already condescending. It also ticks me off when she brings some guest there that does something she is not in favour of and she shows herself to be clearly against that person's beliefs, even leading the audience to clap about something she said against the guest's idea of what's right. She should shut up, because she's doing an interview, not participating in a debate.
She should stick to modelling, which is great for her, because her mouth remains shut.

I have more about other celebrities, but I'll leave it at this for now.

Feel free to acknowledge what a user has written in this topic and feel free to debate it as well.
Only don't let it turn into an argument, please. Wink

I always felt Tyra Banks was just trying to be the next Oprah, but the differences are, like you said, she isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, also like you said, she does not take an objective view on some matters, unlike Oprah who would be willing to hear and at least think about all perspectives on an issue. She's like a cross between Oprah and Ellen, but far less entertaining, intelligent or open minded than either of them.

I have obvious ones like Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan who I can't stand, for clear reasons.

And I dislike Charlie Sheen and although I think the reasons why should be obvious, a lot of people seem to adore him. Don't know why. He's a crazy coked out celebrity. He's not winning in many ways in my opinion.

I hate Bill O'Reilly, but again he's obvious. Probably the most arrogant, pompous, closed-minded, idiotic person I have ever heard or seen. I normally just watch to get angry at what he has to say Razz

scratch Sure this has been made before, but can't find it Laughing

Oh well. here is my list of Celebrities and their idiocy. Many of them really nark me off for various reasons.

- Michael Jackson -

For wasting his talent for dancing. For becoming bankrupt despite having the rights to The Beatles music. For not accepting himself as he should - plastic surgery is just stupid for reason other than accidents. For getting away with being a pedophile (come on, when asked by Arsenio Hall whether he thought it appropriate to sleep in the same as a child that was not his he said "yes")..

- Ricky Gervais -

For not being funny AT ALL. For being a big headed egotist.

- Justin Bieber -

For not being able to sing. For being a big-headed egotist.

- Piers Morgan -

For breaking the law in order to sell newspapers - he authorised the faking of pictures showing British Troops abusing Iraqi troops. For being a big-headed egotist. For having no discernible talent.

- Katie Price (Jordan) -

For not knowing how big she wants her chest to be. For discarding her husbands. For marrying idiots. For having no discernible talent. For pretending she wrote her own books. For having an annoying voice. For trying to sing. For being a big-headed egotist.

- Peter Andre -

For marrying an idiot. For having no discernible talent. For continually showing off his body. For being a big-headed egotist.

- Jedward -

For being big-headed egotists. For have no no discernible talent. For having stupid hair. For having no style or co-ordination. For appearing on reality TV.

- Charlie Sheen -

Not being able to act. Not being funny. Unable to realise what an idiot he is being. For being a big-headed egotist.

More to follow.

I have no contact with Tyra Banks on the TV so have no opinion on her.

I generally ignore celebrities and fame and w/e, because people are just so annoying. But then there's the few that stick out, either because of the internet, or that it comes up in conversation with my family. For now, there's these four;

Justin Bieber
For serious reasons, mind you. While he has more musical talent then some of the current celebrities/singers, he's definitely developed an ego.

Rebecca Black
She herself doesn't annoy me. She's a fine girl. But her lack of musical talent (even autotune doesn't work) with her burst of internet fame is rather annoying, because it's on every website I go on. Same for Bieber. More of a pet hate than 'ARGH I HATE HER'.

Charlie Sheen
I don't know much about the guy other than being on a crap show and creating many annoying internet memes. More the internet's fault than his - I've heard he's done bad stuff, I've just not heard what, so I can't really judge too much.

Chris Brown
Woman beater... To put it into very simple terms. I'm fairly certain he's developing ego problems, too.

EDIT: Oh, another.

Rhianna (however you spell it)
She used to be such a good musical artist. Now she's trying to be all emo/gothic (or was?), acts like a complete creep (Disturbia), has no creativity in song choice (Umbrella), and the majority of her songs is purely about sex.

I don't mind them if they actually have something to be a big-headed egotist about.

- Wayne Rooney -

For playing for Everton. For playing for Manchester United. For swearing during celebrations. For cheating on his wife. For sleeping with prostitutes. For not actually being that good at football. For being narked at supporters for making their feelings known about him.

Lady GaGa and Rihanna don't annoy me that much. Rebecca Black is only annoying to me in that the media made me aware of her. I don't look for that sort of stuff on YouTube anyway.

While I usually like Chef Gordon Ramsey, I thought he was quite inappropriate this one time...

The first time I saw Hell's Kitchen, it really bugged me that he screams and curses at the people working for him. After a while, I understand most of them deserve it and it's just the nature of the show... One goes with it.
But this one time, one customer went to complain because his beef was raw and bloody hell, did Ramsey get **ssed - He started calling the guy a nob head, told him to go shave, etc. While there is the point that waiters are there to bring food back and there was no need for the guy to do so himself, nevertheless, he should not have been treated that way.
Of course Ramsey only acts that way because he's got people pouring in to dine at his place. Razz

Things I dislike about that guy is

1. Not a real doctor, thus shouldn't be called doctor phil
2. He basically just yells at people for 10 minutes to get their act together then sends them to a real specialist.

3. He has a weight loss book that he peddles on his show a lot.... Dr. Phil.... weight loss.... Not really the guy who should be talking about weight loss.

Rebecca Black doesn't annoy me at all. sure that song is torture to the ears, but I watched an interview with her. she is just a 13 year old girl who was given a song to sing that she thought would be fun. She didn't write it. I like Patrick said, hate the fact I was made aware of her. She doesn't have musical talent (atleast not in the signing sense), but I don't think it deserves the millions of hate comments she's received. I feel sorry for her.

I don't like Lady Gaga, because she seems to believe what she does is original and that dressing up in ridiculous outfits somehow makes her seem more creative and out there.

I'm also not a fan of Phil for many of the reasons that were already mentioned here. I think he has the ability to deal with lesser situations, but when things get too serious, I don't think he does a good job.

That could be anyone at fox news. They all spout their opinions as fact and are quite often wrong. There is only one fox news host who I have any respect for, as he is the only one who gives a neutral, unbiased opinion on things. can't remember his name though.

But other than him all of them are annoying egotistical, idiots on Fox News.

We've had this before but I'd be happy to rant about them again. Pretty much every celeb I'm ticked off about right now has been mentioned in this thread before.

Lady Gaga is neither a singer or dancer, she's a sensationalist who's even more crap at giving interviews. She actually thinks she's a self-help guru and acts like one during each of her concerts, meanwhile she's hiding behind a persona who looks like a mental patient who raided an arts and craft store. Just be real, woman!

Justin Bieber... go away, NOW!

Kate Price, nobody cares about your "issues", and outside the UK, you're N-O-B-O-D-Y. In fact, I didn't know about her until I wanted to know whatever happened to Peter Andre... and then I started watching "I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here..." and SHE CAME BACK for "closure"... Brick Wall

Madonna has gotten worse and worse over the past 20 years. She refuses to retire, has/had a boyfriend/husband - don't keep up, to be frank - that she could've given birth to and thinks she can adopt more children than Angelina Jolie... I wish Guy Ritchie shot another car commercial, but this time have it run OVER Madonna instead.

That's it for now. none

She is NOBODY in the UK either, Andy Wink

- William Windsor and Kate Middleton -

This is NOT their fault. But STOP SHOVING THEIR MARRIAGE DOWN MY THROAT NOW THE MEDIA!!! I am travelling on the day of the marriage, and I swear, if I see or hear anything about the event I shall inflict serious damage on the source of this. I wish them a long and happy marriage, I also wish I could avoid anything to do with it.

I also find funny when certain hosts, like Tyra Banks, make those shows complaining about the Paparazzi, that they suck, they should get a life, blah, blah, blah. And then the audience deeply agrees and claps and everything.

But it's those hoochy mammas who buy those magazines and feed the paparazzis. >_<

Yes it is... the family name changed around World War I from Sachs-Coburg to sound less German. It was changed to their main residence, which is Windsor Castle.

I speak the truth, in this case I am pleased to report my opinion is FACT Wink Laughing

- Jeremy Kyle -

For peddling filth. For spouting his opinion like it is fact. For airing people's dirty laundry in public. For being a big-headed egotist.

I find it far funnier when channels like E.T Entertainment television do segments about paparazzi. They talk about how paparazzi invade the privacy of celebrities, then immediately go into a celebrity story like "what was Britney Spears doing in a Cosco today?". No hypocrisy there what so ever.

Entertainment Tonight is a joke, they can't even pay a proper tribute to a much beloved late entertainer without making it sound like they passed away in the most scandalous way.

I like Jerry Springer, because all he does is stand there while his guests start rowing and then he looks at the camera helplessly, almost apologetic to the outside audience.

In the past few years, I have learnt not to care about those so-called celebrities. Most of them are crap and only celebrated because they are a joke of themselves, meanwhile there re others I so fondly follow just because they are not afraid to make fun of themselves or other people and actually have some useful skill and charisma to make it worth.
