Pokemanz!!!

C'mon anybody who says they haven't ever played at least one game in thier life is full of crap!! Pokemanz is still really popular, even if people don't admit they play it... So who here wants to admit it? Post away and let's get some good discussion going :3

I used to play one for GameBoy Colour that a friend lent to me once. It was the golden version or whatever, with that electric bird on the front.

It was pretty cool. I had a good time with it.

Eventually, lost my interest in Pokemon all together.

Yeah I played pokemon. But actually my first pokemon game wasn't one of the gameboy games. I believe my first one was Pokemon stadium on the N64, followed by pokemon shoot also on the N64.

After that I got red, then moved onto gold and silver, and crystal. After that I got ruby and sapphire, but thats when I stopped playing them. Put many many hours into those games. I miss pokemon stadium.

I've played every generation but not every game. I skipped Heart Gold because Desmume wasn't a pokemon friendly emulator (wtf pokemon is the most played emulator game) at the time and by the time I got the newest version that properly did it's job Black and White had come out so I decided to skip HG and get to the good stuff.

To be honest Gen 5 might have quite a few pokemon just slapped in there (I'm looking at you Druddigon, Samurott and Ducklett) but it has the best features. Namely infinite TM uses

Yeah, I've played all of them up to Soul Silver... Haven't gotten Black or White yet cuz my DS isn't working (top screen is broken) So Imma wait till I get a new one to move on to that game... What about the PMD games? I really liked those at well and am expecting a new one for 5th gen

I've played LeafGreen, Emerald, Gold, HG, and White.

Me, I used to play Ruby, Emerald, and Diamond. Stopped playing them a looooong time ago, though.

I think pokemon is one thing I don't plan on growin out of lol I mean, not when I have other options avaliable... But if I'm on the road for a trip or something what's better than a DS? That's my thoughts And of course I grew up on pokemon

I used to love Pokemon. At least up until the 2nd Gen. After that I kinda lost interest.
I have (well had) Yellow and still have Silver both for the GBC (and also recently played Fire Red for old times sake)

However, I was creating a lot of Fakemon in Spore so I actually had to start knowing some of the newer ones just so mine weren't too similar

I remember when they first came out, I saved all my pocketmoney to buy Pokemon Blue. I later got Pokemon Yellow as well, and I still have it with the old save game XD I doubt it works now though.

I skipped all the ruby and emerald and crystal generations, because I kind of grew out of it I guess. When I got myself a DS I did get pearl, it was an OK game but not really what I was expecting. I got SoulSilver too but haven't played that in an age, much like the DS.

The games are fairly good, I don't know why they get so much stick, the mechanics are fairly fun and the storylines, although predictible, are still entertaining. Or maybe I'm just easily entertained.

It seems a fair amount of people have gotten the bad versions and by extension less fun I've done my research and if cross titles (Yellow, Crystal, Emerald and Platinum) are excluded, the best versions (as in best exclusives) are:

Red
Gold
Ruby
Fire Red (because red)
Diamond
Heart Gold (because gold)
White

I was so delighted to read that Aron would be obtainable in White Forest but it turns out there is a pool of pokemon randomly selected to appear in White Forest. The others never appear anywhere and it turns out aron weren't selected on my original White playthrough :/

Mine was always electric

I always loved steel in Gen 3, but my aron kept getting pwned by the ever so common fighting/fire/water type attacks. Now in Gen 5 I've taken a liking to the rock and bug types as they seem extremely useful (and it's hard to form a team that can combat everything and use all the hms besides dive anyway).

I also really like poison types... and speaking of rock/bug... one of my fav pokemon to destroy people with is Shuckle Just have it with Rest, Toxic, Sandstorm, and iron defense or something, and it is a bish to kill :3

I've played Pokemon Blue, Gold, Ruby and Diamond, gd times

I love psychic type pokemon, Hypno and Grumpig in particular but my all time favourite Pokemon was Muk, yes I like the blob

I can even remember all the types.... I like Jigglypuff... so whatever type jiggypuff is, is probably my favourite.

Remmy, try normal and yeah Grumpig is pretty cool, but Alakazam is better and Metagross lol (he's part steel, shocker)

I used to play a lot when I owned a Game Boy Pocket. At the time I had the Yellow and Silver versions.

Only recent I got back into Pokémon, when I got a DS, Heart Gold and Black. I haven't played for months though, ever since I've finished the Black storyline... Maybe I'm too old, but the game lost some of its appeal to me.

Lol, I can even tell which part of the game you are from your team... Personally, I'm not a big fan of grass types. You'd be best served with Blitzle than Petilil. And I really hate that fire monkey. Darumaka is a much better alternative at that point.

But then again, we sometimes stick with some critters just because we like their looks, and there's nothing wrong with that.

I've yet to get black or white because my DS's top screen isn't working :/ So I can't wait to get a new one
