General help link: How to post your creation/picture to a forum click

Some more information about posting clickable Spore png's/pictures on EuroSpore as it does work a bit different then on the Sporum:

It works when you paste between the URL brackets this kind of short link:

But within a picture it does NOT work with this kind of long link:

You will need to remove the "red" username part: usr-Ansje|2265476012%3A , don't ask me why.



How to post your YouTube video
First click on "share" under the YouTube video. Then choose "options", after that for "long link". Now copy and paste this long link between the YouTube buttons of your message field.


How to share a creation without using the Sporepedia
When you want to share your creation without using the Sporepedia you need to upload the tiny png picture of your creation to a Photobucket, Imageshack or DeviantArt account. Then post a link to your png picture on this topic. You can find the tiny png pictures of your Spore creations when you open an explorer and look in "my documents" > "my Spore creations" > buildings (or creatures, or vehicles, just what it is). Creations entered this way still can be part of the upcoming contests as well, if needed I will re-share the creations myself, mentioning the original creator of course.

The ideas behind this project cannot be better expressed then with the following quote of Slarti:

Spore is one of my greatest pleasures. I 'relax' in the editors. I enjoy the community.
Sadly our little game and community have been fractured for awhile now. However, one thing that has never changed is the passion people feel for this game, and for creating.
For some, the MPN has become a battle ground filled with drama. For others, the MPN matters not.
There has been a slowly widening crack in our little art community. Maxis has not closed the doors, and more than a few of us hang around...waiting, it seems.
I've long thought that it would be nice to see this game return to it's former glory, the chances of that happening are very slim.
It dawned on me one day, that it may be better now, with things as they are. We have a smaller list of active players who, in general, have a deep devotion for Spore. Making it possible to have a more personal and friendly environment in which to create and have fun.
...if only we had a meeting place to gather, band together, and bring the FUN back.
...a place that has a little of this, and a little of that...for EVERYONE.
...a place to hang out, ask questions, get feedback.
...a place to show your skills, your creations.
...a lounge for some, a club for others.

So, I asked a few of my friends if they'd like to help build such a place, to 'give back' to the Spore community which we love so much. Each one agreed, without hesitation.

The Sporenaissance thread is what we've come up with.

It is a work in progress, and your input and ideas will be greatly appreciated. You can help us finish the 'house' we are trying to build.

Okay this message is not meant to be an articitic picture or something but to inform about some ways to show your creation without using the Sporepedia. The lady on the picture is made by soupfamily. I picked up the small ingame png that she uploaded to her DeviantArt account and opened the creation in my Spore game to make a picture in the editor.

Another test, this is not shared on the Sporepedia but on my Photobucket only. Do try to download it to your game to test the way this works:



To save it to your Spore game you have to right click on the small png, save it under "my" documents --> Spore creations --> creatures. AFTER that, start up your Spore game and look under "new downloads".

Remark to new members registered to EuroSpore: to post an external link, you need to be registered for a week. You can however add a signature and an avatar picture to your profile right away.

You know, the pngs generally look better against a dark background, I wonder what made EA think a white background was a good idea.

The retarded genes in their collective corporate brain, no doubt.

Kudos for those two, though-and I've just started meddling in your collection of buildings btw- and am getting more impressed by the minute.

@ GrandPeep: That purple creature is very funny but I really love that steampunk style robot! Indeed they look good against the dark background, I will show something soon here as well, haven't been very active with the Spore editors for a while but it's time to shake things up a bit

A building set I've recently finished

@ GrandPeep: very beautiful set of buildings! The colours, cupolas and towers somehow give an eastern palace "feeling".

@ GrandPeep: I like the sturdy look of your creation!

Some of my latest stuff.

@ GrandPeep: they are absolutely great: all of them. Most of them I have seen in the editor: I really admire your original use of outfitter parts, especially what you do with hats.

Not much to show myself ATM, but I am very busy with the editors. Working on setting up two small adventures: one with the Muppet characters of MadEyeJude and one with that awesome skull gate of IceInMyBlood. Ice is a very nice guy with awesome darkstyle props, quite a challenge to combine them with my own stuff LOL. I did before though, with creations he made for the "hilarious say cheese" contest on his previous username The-Cold-Lord.

I just released my second adventure, the next chapter in the Kuuhrduronian story line. It is called "A Blight on the Summit" It has guest appearances by several of the World Builders Thread empires. I had more complexity left than I thought so I was able to include several more than the four I thought I would be able to. I chose those that had diplomats or ambassador characters I could use, I apologize if your empire didn't get a slot in this adventure. I do hope you enjoy playing it!



Adventure Description:

After your impressive success in winning the favor of Ambassador Kusek and the Kuuhrduronian Empire during your assignment on Luchel 3 you received a nice promotion from your council, and found yourself assigned to attend the Quadrant Summit as a delegate for your empire. Specifically you have been directed to open talks with the Nassonex Empire on establishing a trade route with them to help develop some of your outlying colonies and expedite your empire’s ability to expand. After a slow start you found a Nattonian Ambassador willing to discuss the issue with you and have developed a professional friendship with her over the course of several meetings.
