The 'Bloop'
The 'Bloop' was a sound recorded in 1997 by Hydrophones. The sound was also heard on another Hydrophone 3000 miles away. According to Geologists, it wasn't any Geological acitivty, as the soudns didn't match anything they had recorded before. biologists that studied it said that a creature to make a noise that loud would have to be the size of a US destroyer, which is 100 metres longer than a blue whale.
I could only find the slowed version, so you'll have to wait for the full-speed one.

Well, so was your thread but hold your horses, I'm not saying it's a bad thing :-)
Sometimes random and undeeded ARE what's needed ;-)
Edit: I'm not saying it's off topic, since this is the off topic sector :-P

It's the sound of one of them un-identifiable floatin' objections. i'll get mah shotgun......
Re: The 'Bloop'
Arkanay, this isn't unneeded, it's serious. There's something else out there, connor reckons a cthulhu, I think it sounds a tad too graceful for that, though >.>
Re: The 'Bloop'
Hehe, well, to be honest, I wish it was true! But unfortunatly, I don't believe it :-P

Evidence? That's far from evidence. Ever heard of a fake? You can believe what you want to believe, that's up to you to decide. But it makes me shiver the ammount of people that believe those videos just because of the title and/or sentence.
Human mind is easy to persuade because people fear what they don't know and imagination leads the rest.
I'm not trying to start an argument. If it leads into one, I'm stopping right here.

From where that was recorded I doubt it's fake. Connor is also very easy at identifying fakes, I know. But I also do not want to argue.
Re: The 'Bloop'

Re: The 'Bloop'
So, wait, what's this topic about? Is it discussing what the Bloop might have been?
Well, I'm almost certain that it wasn't a hoax. I'm also pretty sure it wasn't Cthulhu, due to Cthulhu being fictional. I wouldn't rule out it being some other kind of unknown gigantic deep-ocean sea monster, but then there's the matter of why it hasn't been heard more often. As far as I can tell... it's a mystery.

Ark, I don't think continuing to spam after being told twice not to is required. It wont get you any friends. Please stop.
Re: The 'Bloop'
sorry! only wanted to show that this sound is used in some games for oceanic creatures like whales...
so i think the sound is a normal sound from any whale, no myth!^^

Re: The 'Bloop'
A whale can normally only be heard for a few hundred miles, not 3k miles as it was said.
Re: The 'Bloop'
what do you think of a mechanical noise? maybe a nuclear bomb test anywhere?? or something else of any secret service??
Re: The 'Bloop'
Kevin, did you actually listen to it? It doesn't sound anything like the thing in your vid, and that is definately an animal...
Re: The 'Bloop'
yes, i listen to it^^ i don't know what it is...there are many unknown things out there and we humans know more about the universe than about the deep sea this scares me^^

I think you're being agressive for no reason.
I said that sound would be good to use in an adventure. How is that spam? It's both topic and spore related. Please think twice before posting agressive posts, we're all here to have a good time afterall :-)

Re: The 'Bloop'
I said this on the proum regarding the "screams of Hell" recording.
ONE sound does not prove anything, it is just cirumstancial ecidence which put together with other evidence can build a strong case, whether that be for a crime or the existence of something.
Sounds can be "manufactured" in the strangest ways. Just look at the movies. There is no reason to believe that nature cannot do the same thing. It does saound mechanical to me, it sounds like a childs organ that is being played slowly, then being lowered in tone, and sped up and then slowed down again. This does not mean it is not a natural sound, just that I do not believe it to be. Although the sound at the end does like a dolphin.
I was also led to believe that Whale song, can be heard by OTHER WHALES from over a thousand miles away, but I don't believe that either.
Anyway, no more arguments, please.

Well it is fact that a blue whales sound can travel atleast 800 kms underwater. Thats not theory its fact. The sound a blue whale produces are between 155 and 188 decibels. To put that in prospective a jet line like a 747 taking off only produces a sound at 122 decibels. Hard to believe but its true
