Renaissance style adventure? Empty Renaissance style adventure?

Post by Zaroas Sat Jan 01, 2011 11:21 am

Hello everyone. I usually don't come to this part of the forum, but I'm here anyhow.

Anyways, I was thinking. Does anyone remember Beneath the Ice by Crainy? If not, it was essentially an adventure with a ton of side quests, along with shops, a currency system and pets. I was playing Assassin's Creed Bortherhood a couple of minutes ago, and remembered this adventure. I thought, "Say, what if Beneath the Ice was based in a Renaissance world like Assassin's Creed is?"

That's basically my idea - An open world adventure set in the Renaissance. We could implement things introduced in Beneath the Ice, such as shops and currency, along with side quests. There could also be a main quest, one which I haven't thought of yet. This would probably take the skill in creature, adventure, and building making of several creators, which is why I'm coming to you guys - Some of the most skilled creators I've ever met. I didn't want to post this on the Sporum anyways because it'd probably be overrun by newbs.

At this point, I'm going to put a poll up and see if people are interested. If enough people are, there would be sign ups for creators in 3 categories - Buildings, Creatures, and Adventure/AI. Ship creators may be needed for making boats, although I haven't decided on that yet. There will also be a category of people that plan out the whole thing, telling people what to make.

So, would you guys be interested?

There might have been a slight chance of me participating in this if I had any required skill to speak of... And I'm pretty busy with my own adventure.

But it's an interesting idea. Good luck with this Smile
