Fairly self explanatory.
Write a review of the song above you.
You can post album versions, live versions, music videos. Obviously the reviews will differ slightly in accordance to which sort it is for example in a live version you would also be reviewing how well the band sounds playing that song live.
Use youtube for this thread, and let's not have any reviews shorter than 10 words... and please actually listen to the song, it will be evident if you haven't

Okay i'll start the ball rolling with this song by the Raconteurs,as an example, it's called Attention Cool

The song starts off with a catchy heavy bass-line, which leads into a perhaps slightly chaotic section. Brendan Benson delivers some great clean sounding vocals, which works very well with the powerful chords and synth. This song at it's very core, is bass driven with the bass riff continuing throughout the song. But perhaps the real highlight of the song is in the solo that Jack White plays, energetic and catchy it doesn't go on for too long but at the same time isn't too short, and works brilliantly with the drum fill that Patrick Keeler plays a little bit after 3:24.
I, personally love this song (as you might have guessed), but the chaotic section at the begining just prevents it becoming a 10 so i give this song 9.5/10

I actually kinda like this song. It gives off a nice atmosphere and has calm singing and everything. I normally don't like this type of music, but I would gladly listen to this anyday.

I've seen this video before, however. It never gets old. It effectively takes a terrible song, takes the voice of a terribly fat, and angry Russian man in videogame land. And turns it into something epic. It never gets old.

Now, I'm going to make the next posters life VERY hard.

Enjoy.

Stone Sour has been hit or miss for me, lately. Loved their first album and I do like that particular track. Great song and vid, too. Slipnot can go away by comparison

I liked some of the vocals on this song but, generally i found it lacked any direction and it was fairly repetitive. This was probably from the lack of change with the drums that turned me off musically. The visuals on the other hand do work with the slow etherial quality of the music.

I did request people that people make their reviews more than 10 words LoD,Remi, and demonic.... Neutral

Next song is Interpol - Obstacle 1

The sound effects at the beginning create a good, tense atmosphere, and makes a great lead into the guitar. The symbols help add a nice tensity to the music, building on the guitars suspensive sound. When the heavier riff came in i felt like it should have be broken in more slowly. The accompanying video was rather surreal, but well done. I can't say i'm much of a fan of the vocal style used or in fact the genre, i did find that the later part of the song dragged on for a little too long. But saying that, i wouldn't skip this track if it came up on my ipod.

As people seem to have forgotten about this thread...
The Prodigy, as ever are loud and abrasive, something which is definitely self evident in the way that they've done this live version of the usually 5 minute long title track to their 2009 album, Invaders Must Die. The end of Omen Reprise blends in nicely to the subtly introduction of Invaders Must Die before the vicious bass and thumping drums enter the sonic assault. With Maxim encouraging the crowd, and Keith Flint as ever, dancing in his strange manner, whilst in the background Liam Howlett focusses on creating the powerful and energetic sound of this electronic song. This song is a personal favourite of mine so rather predictable, since i'm the one reviewing the song i posted i give this
9.5/10

Just having a quick listen before I go to sleep ^^

While the Beat is simple and helps carry the Song, I can hardly hear the guitar over the beat or the Vocals. The Lyrics were appropriate, but I wasn't too keen on the Guy's vocal work. More of an Easy-Listen than anything.
Not my Cup of tea, but I can still see why people may enjoy this band, so I'll give it a 6/10.

I can't say this track impressed me at all. There was some good double pedal action from the drummer and that was about it, I disliked the vocal style to me it was just an incoherent noise which somehow managed to merge itself into the deeper guitar notices. Some of the solos didn't sound to bad, they at least broke up the monotony of the rest of this track, along with some of the brief pauses in momentum. The chorus is laughable on this, this is just my opinion on a music genre i dislike.
Hence why i give this song 3/10

That´s a nice tune, Ben. Starts off nicely and keeps up a cool mood. The chorus isn´t a big deal, though. I give it a 7/10.

This is not one of my favourite songs, but I do like it and think it´s quite decent. Thumbs Up

This is more "Give your opinion on the track above" than actual rating Razz

Anyhow, I'll participate. It's not a bad tune at all, I like the piano playing, and the guitars accompany it well, though sometimes the two's beat collide with one another, and make things a little confusing. The woman's voice is astounding, and I think it should dominate the entirety of the song, because I don't really like the voice of the man. 8/10

The a cappella at the beginning sounds good and creates a nice base for the song to work on. I can't say that i found the drum backing very effective, it made the song sound very dated and slightly cheesy. The video at it's best was poorly directed. As much as i like Annie Lennox in Eurythmics i'm not keen on this sort of sound.
5/10

Okay this next song has a fan made anti-war video so the picture quality isn't brilliant
