Adventure Ideas
Ever had a funny idea for an adventure and then either you did it or never got yourself together to pull it off?
Any kind of funny, interesting, different, original ideas you have for adventures, feel free to share them here.
I often find myself wondering about adventure stories that I´ll probably never make :-)
One of them, would be: You were hired to be part of the security force for, perhaps, an intergalactic rock band. And you´d have to escort them to stage, perhaps defuse a bomb, catch some baddies, watch the concert, escort the band back to the ship... Or if not a band, perhaps a celebrity, say... Orca Windfree! ( Lol ^^) And you´d escort her to stage to give a speech and if well put together could give something funny.
Other idea I had, (and actually started making the adventure but then stopped) would be that you´d be one of the bad guys this time. Capture some slaves, smuggle some drugs into an independent town and stuff alike. Just to give a different taste to the game.
Any other interesting ideas?

An interesting idea too, would be a labyrinth, with horrors, monsters, traps, tortured people. Sort of like a terror adventure.
yea... I might work something around that

I've often wanted to try making a spice mining based mission, not sure how to explain it, but it would be economically based. (I.E.) red spice geyser drops a red key every 10 seconds, it takes 10 red keys to open up the blue geyser, etc.)

Re: Adventure Ideas
I got tons of scrapped ideas...
What's about a giant steampunk airship? Steampunk city? Bad, unlucky day adventure (Your captain will wake up at his home, and then he will experience his unluckiest day of his life.)?
So many abadoned ideas... Just because of my lazyness.

Re: Adventure Ideas
Oh, I've had several ideas for adventures that I've never managed to make.
In one adventure, you would respond to yet another distress call on a remote planet. When you beam down, however, you find that you've materialised in your ship's cargo bay. You receive a transmission from some pirates, who taunt you by explaining that you fell into a trap - while you were beaming down they attacked and disabled your ship and then hacked into the transporter systems to send you to be trapped in the cargo bay.
Using only what few things the pirates haven't beamed out of your cargo bay (along with possibly the abduction beam or maybe some emergency cargo transportation system), you eventually manage to defeat the pirate spaceship and regain all of the goods that were stolen from you. When you finish the adventure and beam back up, the text explains that the empire who gave you the mission will reward you for managing to capture an infamous criminal who has pirated many hundreds of ships using tatics just like he did to your own over the past few years.
In another adventure, you would be investigating some strange disturbances coming from underground on a wildlife sanctuary. You explore, and discover a large subterranean factory - presumably on a wildlife sanctuary so no other empires are likely to come along to colonise the planet and find about the factory, and also so that the factory cannot be traced back to the emprie that built it. This factory is being dedicated to the mass-production of adventure gameplay objects, and a new invention to store them in - the rucksack.
By having, for example, several different Keys in their backpack, the empire's captains can easily pass through any Gates that might block them in an adventure. The empire plans to cheat their way into all other empires' military bases and through their defence systems so that they can conquer the galaxy... because that's apparently what most empires like to do, of course.
You have to shut down the factory, aided by the various gameplay objects being produced in the factory - in one room, for example, you might need to rummage through a pile of Keys to pick out the right coloured one for a nearby Gate, and in another, you might need to defeat a group of robot guards by throwing some grenades at them.
There's probably several more, but I can't think of any of them at the moment. The main reason I haven't made either of those two is because I'm no good at building the necessary environments (cargo bays and subterranean factories respectively). If anybody else wants to make something like either of them, then that's fine by me.

Re: Adventure Ideas
I had two ideas once.
I was once l planning to do a doom style mission. Similar to what ark said.
I was also going to try doing a Portal inspired mission. Ofcourse it would be impossible to make a real portal style mission, but it would be a puzzle mission.

Remove the portals, and it's more like a rat maze with dangerous traps.

Re: Adventure Ideas
The adventure that I've been working on for a year (well really I haven't worked on it for probably 10 of the 12 months...) is this:
You are going on a mission and beam down to a planet. You have to collect some specimens. So you finish that up and are ready to be beamed up to your spaceship. But nothing happens and no one is responding. You then realize that your spaceship has landed. You enter and one of the crewmen tells you that your crew has disappeared.
So I'm not going to reveal the whole thing in case I actually make it. But it takes place inside of a spaceship. I'm creating all of the parts in the building editor including: bridge, cargo bay, teleport bay, the plant room that I can't think of the name of atm (hydroponics?), lounge, cafeteria and more. The hardest thing though is making a huge capital/command spaceship in the building editor.
Here's some of the creations:
Screens:
Corridor
Bridge
Lounge
