Re: Inspiration
@Thomas: Halo soundtracks are amazingly good compared to other games.
@Ark: First one reminds me of this song:
Both are very futuristic.

They are good too. I like the second one the most. Didn´t hear it all though.
But I prefer the ones I linked ^^
By the way, the soundtracks I linked were from the game Marathon. Marathon was made by Bungie, the same makers of the Halo series
Edit: Trick, lol, I don´t know why it reminded you of that song, but it´s a good song ;-P

Trickatel wrote:My parents and I used to listen them a LOT when I was younger. I think she was one of the reasons I like a large variety of music. This is the most inspiring song for me. I went to the Lion King musical and when they sang this I was breathless. It's astounding to hear live. If you go to London anytime soon, you must see the Lion King musical.
I love that film.
Heck, I love the series

The second one is the better of the two. Llisten to it.
I've played Marathon; but not for years and years now.

Listen to the intro of yours and at 0:22 of mine. Very similar :-)
Tyranid - If you visit the UK, go to the Lion King musical. If I loved it, then you'll be ecstatic when you've seen it.

Re: Inspiration
I have, Thomas.
It´s very cool. Sets in a great atmosphere. Reminds me of The Dig and abit of Unreal.
Edit: Trickatel, I heard the part you meant and I understand how you could have sensed the similarity. But it doesn´t sound similar to me.
They´re still both great songs in my opinion though

Re: Inspiration
I am inspired by everything around me that I take notice of. Although I live in a horrible area, when I do go somewhere and see worthy scenery (like the Lake and the peak district), then I take note and embrace it. It's absolutely amazing and I can't get enough of it.
Art and stories are also another factor. Alot of Digital art I tend to view rubs off into my own creations and Stories of any sort also leave a mark on how something is designed.
Music is also a big factor. When I do create something, it is usually slow and often low and calm. Depressing music actually makes me smile and I can concentrate better. Usually Black Metal in any form is what I love listening to the most, but also, I like Death Metal for when I want a more Brutal finish or if I want to have a laugh and some though behind sceneries and other memorable elements, I listen to more Viking/Folk than anything. But on the rare occasion I listen to more Doom-styled tracks.

I live in Lowestoft (the most easterly point of the UK), but it is pretty much an awful place to live. Im probably going to be moving to Beccles in a month or two, which is right in the middle of pretty much everywhere I might need to go, plus there's a nice place we've found up for rent we want to grab there in the newer part of the Village.
