I think most people don't feel much sympathy for them, in reality.

Re: Miners in Chile
No need to be pessimistic, guys. The mine is stable and the remaining men are in high spirits and relatively good health.
I'm happy for them, and as a fellow human being I am very proud of them. They've demonstrated some of the greatest aspects of our species in the last 70 days.
And what's more... If a SPORE-poor country like Chile can keep ALL of its miners alive for several months, why the frak can't a "rich" country like America keep its miners alive for more than a day? I get the impression that haters are just jealous. I mean, Chile is pretty much showing up the entire world.
So, best of luck to the mole men.

I disagree somewhat. If Chile had been a developed country, the miners would have been rescued a long time ago.

Re: Miners in Chile
Not neccesarily Thomas. It may have taken two months, but the only reason it was that "quick" was because they brought in a specialist machine from here in australia. Without it the miners would have been down there much much longer.
So in terms of the kind of position they were in, their rescue was relatively fast.
Its good to see that the miner's are finally coming out. I couldn't imagine what it would feel like to see the surface for the first time in two months.
Man the only one of the miners I feel truely sorry for, is the one who has to face both his wife and his mistress when he gets back up. He's probably considering staying down there

I thought as much. I didn't think it was possible you could forget my name eight times. Even though I'm horrible with remembering names, it takes tops three times for me to remember it.
But this is straying away from the point. Back on topic
Miners trapped-Miners getting out- Everyone happy-except miner who's going to be smothered with a pillow
