Re: The Music Thread
I used to play the clarinet but sort of lost interest over time.
I also used to learn to play the piano. The only song I was able to play, though, was the Arabesque by Friedrich Burgmüller. It's a fast and quirky melody but very easy to learn.

Thanks Thomas.
Ark, once you're finished with your current song, I really suggest 'Day Tripper' by the Beatles. It's a really simple, funky song

Re: The Music Thread
I really want learn how to play a guitar. Just don't know where and how, I don't think there are many people who can play one near where I live. D:
I can also sing quite well, and I'm trying to practice death metal growls and stuff.

Re: The Music Thread
Doomnova, for starters, you should get a guitar (or have someone to lend you one) and then there is SO many stuff in the internet that can aid you in learning.
Youtube videos and websites. Just google it and there is a lot of stuff.
And most is free
That should set you up with some basics.

Yeah, we already have an electric guitar, actually.
It's my sister's and it's really cool. And she never even plays it.
And I don't think she'll let me practice with it.

Lessons can indeed be helpful. They sure were to me.
But there is a lot of stuff in the internet that actually teaches you like you were in a lesson for free. Chords, positions, etc.
And it's a nice idea to have a look at that, imo.

Doomnova, first make sure what side you play (left/right) cause I've heard it's quite hard to switch.

Re: The Music Thread
The last bit of the solo is a pain, but I'll practice and practice. Talking of which, I need to revise for an IAA Biology test tommorow. It makes up 10% of my Science GCSE. It shouldn't be too hard, I do well on these. It's multiple choice which get me :/

Multiple choice is all about reading the question carefully and knowing the material.

And read the options very carefully too.
Sometimes they are traps Or not entirely true.

That's usually the idea - at least one of the answers is always a trick.

Come to think of it it is the material. Last year we spent most of the time learning Electronics, a topic I was bad at and thus didn't enjoy. I got a D in multiple choice, whereas I got an A* in Astronomy, which I love. Still, I'm going to have to revise a lot. Anyway, back on topic. My fault, I know
Now we have two trumpet players, we should also try a Jazz/Swing collaboration
