HALO3 or R.E.A.C.H

this thread and poll is to ultimatley decide which is better Halo 3 or Halo: R.E.A.C.H based upon both the multiplayer and campaign

i believe R.E.A.C.H to be better because of:
-better customisation
-added weapons
-all vechiles and weapons have been revised
-more enemies
-less confined spaces in campaign
-power-ups(sprint etc.)
-definite ending

While I love halo:3, bungie really put in the effort to go out with a bang with Reach. While the campaign was not amazing, the story was fine and the ending was just awesome. Forge in Reach is well...... 1000 times superior to Halo: 3 and the variations of games you can play online are fantastic. I think what bungies aim was to leave a game that people would play for years, and I think they definitely achieved this with Reach.

Alot of game reviewers gave Halo: 3 a 10/10, which in my opinion means reach would have to get a 12/10

Enlighten me.

What's the difference between Halo 3 and Halo REACH? I didn't even know there was more than one New Halo. I know about 1 and 2 but then I thought there would just be a 3.

The previous three main halo games, followed the masterchief, however in reach your another spartan. The story is set just before the events of the first halo game.

The differences between reach and halo 3.
Much better graphics
More fun and challenging gameplay
Awesome online
Forge is just rediculously good in Reach
Lots more guns and vehicles

I will say again, the story line wasn't mind blowing, but it is still good

No, Marathon and Doom are set in totally different Universes.

The same producers of the Halo series, Bungie, were the guys that created the Marathon series in the 90's. One of the best games ever. The storyline is just to die for.

Although there are no serious relations between Halo and Marathon, some avid fans say there's a slight connection between them.
There are some similarities, yes, but they are different tales. That doesn't mean Bungie didn't throw a few easter eggs regarding Marathon though Wink

Well if bungie made marathon, maybe they'll be working on a re-make. Seeing as they've cut all ties with the halo franchise with reach, they must want to move onto other projects

I really hope so. That game is very, very cool. Definatly one of my favourites.

Yeah, the gameplay and graphics are far from the best compared to today's, but just the story...
Living it through the character, entering the atmosphere of the game, battling aliens, understanding crazed AI's coming up with philosophical questions... Their true purposes... I must have completed the series 4 or 5 times scratch

Everyone has one of those games that never gets old no matter how many times you play it. For me those games are Timesplitter: Future Perfect, Oblivion, Fallout and the halo series.. I've played ever halo game at least 4 times through, with the exception of Halo Wars, because I don't really like that style of overhead command games....

Dude Halo Reach's Forger is awsome! Me and my friend made one of the beastliest bases on there we've ever done. ForgeWorld is it's name. It allows you to merge without having to go through all that other Halo 3 crap. You can keep anything in midair, except vehicles. It's just downright amazing.

Plus, ForgeWorld is 2000 times bigger than Foundry

I know, Bungie did an amazing job with the revised verson of Forger. Forge world is absolutely amazing. I'm currently working on a gargantuan map. so far its taken me 6 hours and i'm not even half way done

@Reyes: If you combine the time me, my dad, and my friend have spent on my map. So far it's taken us at the LEAST over 14 hours. And we're not close to done

@Reyes: It's where the hanger is. My base is in midair just beside the hangar, my friend's is on the piece of land above the hanger. We've connected them to make one gigantic base for the ultimate brawl

Halo Reach is fun, Halo 3 was fun. Also, forge world is rediculous. I wish i still had friends that played custom games so I could take advantage of it.
