The BBC Thread
Fairly simple - discuss anything to do with the BBC from the license fee to what's been on TV recently.
The BBC isn't just in Britain so...

BBC rocks....
QI on tonight too.
I don't get people who abhor the licence fee - this means NO ADS, and means you have every right to have a say on what the BBC does.

Re: The BBC Thread
I'll be watching QI Stephen Fry for the win!
How did you think Ross Noble did last week?
And i agree on the licence fee, i hate programs with Ads in the middle of them especially if it's a thriller it just kills the atmosphere!

Yeah. The way he monitors it all is pretty cool. I actually got an in-depth look at the structure and status of an important set of servers. I feel speshul :3

One of my best friends works for BBC Radio 1. He is a sound engineer.

Also, the oldest and most respected.
Re: The BBC Thread
Sometimes he's on call and has to talk to them about it. From what I've seen, there was a list of all servers and websites with statuses and messages. If anything is unstable or wrong or collapsed a message comes up - I've never seen this happen so I don't know how he fixes it or what comes up next.
I have a feeling it's more complicated than it looks.
Then again, I've recently started learning a programme that I've seen him use years back that, which then, looked ridiculously complicated. Now it all makes complete sense.

Not quite the oldest, actually. ABC was founded in 1920, BBC in 1922.

Radio 1? Cool, do you know if he works on any particular shows?
And I'm also a fan of Ross Noble, I'll be seeing him live for the second time in December, he's also really good on Just A Minute

Oh, right...
You're not disagreeing with the most respected bit though.
That reminds me Trick, must go on iPlayer and see the first ep of Whites...
Yes Ben, Chris Moyles, Fearne Cotton, Jo Whiley and Tim Westwood but to name a few.

Who would disagree with the most respected bit, unless they're being cantankerous

I suddenly feel like being cantankerous.

True. Usually they are first shown on the BBC and then on other channels a few months later.

I actually don't watch much T.V. but when I do, it's usually Q.I. or a movie (I'm watching Star Wars Episode 6 tomorrow )
