It is not "bad" just sad that I rant to 35 people, and not even sure if any of them read what I say.
Re: Tweet It
Hey, Pat, you know who cares? Stephen Fry cares, not many people can say Stephen Fry cares about what they think

Re: Tweet It
I know now, but I was not following at the time, so didn't see your post. That is the big problem with Twitter.
Re: Tweet It
It's terribly overrated, 95% of the users are simply lonely teenagers who use it as a a way to think people care about what's happening in their boring lives. The other 2 - 3% are celebrities / Popular youtube people / music groups, and the other 2% are the people who rarely use it, and when they do. It's actually somewhat useful information.
All in all, it's ended up like almost all of Modern technology. Completely butchered and abused to the point that its original purpose is no longer clear. Quite sad, really.
Now, if you would excuse me. I need to go tell the world I'm typing up a rant about twitter.

Re: Tweet It
I haven't been following anyone on Twitter lately but in other discussions I;ve followed online it has become evident that most people (in some industries I can't mention here) use twitter to pretty much bad-mouth, ass-kiss or otherwise throw their unneeded and rather immature opinions into the public eye of scrutiny - they are not aware they could just as well throw their paychecks into the shredder if they keep tweeting.
It's bad enough that people who are not in command of their own written language blog but this whole tweeting business has really gotten out of control.

Re: Tweet It
Twitter for companies, people trying to do business and celebrities I can kind of see the point. Every day people... I can't really see the point.
I have never had a twitter account. I don't really want to presume that people would be interested in my passing thoughts. Those that do usually sign up to follow celebs and stuff and I have little interest in their thoughts either.
And then, like Andeavor says, the whole clique thing that goes on in order to bad mouth or ass kiss, especially between companies/celebs. It reminds me of an online school playground.

Re: Tweet It
There's still a certain number of legitimately interesting people on Twitter, and having an account to follow them isn't so bad. It's a bit like having a Youtube account that you only use to favorite videos or something - you can follow the small amount of intelligent and ignore the stupid.

Honestly, I don't get Twitter. I don't understand how and why it's a big fad and why people ever tweet...

Re: Tweet It
I certainly agree with you Sakiara. I don't see why people would want to know what you are doing every second of your life. This could be extremely boring. I did hear an interesting point about twitter the other day. An Airline company checked the twitter feeds of there up-coming passengers. After reading them they would buy that guest a small gift which would appeal to the person taste/need because of what they said on the twitter account. As a result the guest's were rather happy about this. Now apparently these people that got the gifts had lots of followers on twitter for some reason. So obviously this company was trying to get some free advertising by hoping that the people who they had bought the gifts for would "tweet" what excellent service they had had.Sakiara wrote:Honestly, I don't get Twitter.
