Trickatels SolidWorks projects

One of my New Years resolutions was to start learning Product Design, and I'm going to do this via the use of the software SolidWorks. I will post my progress here as the year goes on, so I have a mini-portfolio over time.
Anyway, here's my first creation (sorry for the quick video, Hypercam sped the recording up somehow):

That reminds me of something I saw at a technical school near where I live. They use drafting there, and they made things similar to that.

My school's only just been able to afford solidworks, and only for a few rooms. To add to that, none of the DT/product design teachers know how to use it properly, and they're supposed to be teaching the year 7s. Though, I'm a beast in pro-desktop, which was the program I was taught.

Thanks. Our school is also pathetic at using the software. The teachers knew little about it when I used it in DT last year, so I now rely on my father to teach me (he uses the software to design his guitars).
