Sharing freedom/addDNA creations

I'm currently working on something but would need to go over the complexity and I wasn't sure which cheat allows you to still share the creation. What are your experiences?

AddDNA- allows you to release the creation

freedom- Does not allow you to release the creation.

I used addDna a lot of times on my creations.

I've only made one or two freedom creations, but they get deleted off the spore server the second they are released.

From experience in vehicles editors you can use freedom but as long as the creation uses simple parts (non light parts etc...) and is under 5 dots on the freedom meter it's sharable. However i don't if the same thing will apply for the other editors.

It will be a building. I have shared a creation where I used addDNA before but only because I quickly ran out of budget. This time I'm running out of actual complexity, which may force me to use the freedom cheat... Unsure

I think like Ben said you can go a little above normal, but in my experience, whenever I have used freedom, it hasn't allowed me to release the creation.

I think stuff in building editor with freedom on usually share, or at least that's what i've been told anyway Razz

As far as I know...

Freedom creatures never share, while freedom buildings will nearly always share.

Hmm, I tried to share it and it says it did share but it doesn't show on spore.com.

Strange.

I guess I've never actually gone that far using freedom. Maybe there's a cutoff point like Ben was talking about with ships?

But AddDNA wouldn't prevent you from sharing, that I'm sure of.

I have used Freedom once or twice. Not really my thing, but here's my observations:

On buildings, it will share to a resonable extent.

On creatures it will also share, but only to the extent of adding up to around 4 pieces (roughly 8 complexity points). Im not sure how the asymetry changes this though. There was a sheet thing expalining the points somewhere in the EU sporum, although god knows where abouts that'll be now!

The key to creatures is to turn the freedom off. If you type in help in the cheat box it will come up with a list and descriptions. It won't allow freedom cheat creatures to 'pollinate'. This means spawning in game and being uploaded. So the cheat to turn it off (Can't remember it exactly) is essential. Even then they were deleted after a month or so XD
