Super Mario Bros. meets Portal

Stabyourself.net is currently working on a classic Super Mario Bros. mod that uses the technology of Portal. Yes, Mario and Luigi will create portals and find new and improved ways of fighting the Koopa troop.

Once finished, the game will be available for free at the site with all the modding tools included.

This is very cool. A nice mix of games.

I like when he uses the portal to make the turtle shell kill the walking mushrooms. Razz

This is pure awesome. Portal and SMB are two of some of my favourite games!

Nice use of the Koopa shell to take out the Goombas! Also, I heard an MSN sound at around 0:30 Razz

EDIT: Same guy made Not Tetris 2, basically a drunk version of Tetris:

Portal meets super mario looks awesome. Mildly unrelated note, I find it funny that the more graphics and technology advance, the more popular retro-style games are becoming.

I think it's like fashion; we've seen everything, so now we can go full circle. Like when a daughter finds her mother's old clothes and starts a new retro-trend.

I won't jump on that bandwagon... for now. I've been there and done that.

I find it tempting to start singing a whole new world after that comment :p, anyway i think what there doing is pretty cool, looking at old games from a new perspective
