Plans for Christmas
Well once again its that holly jolly time of the year (feels like last christmas was only a few weeks ago).
What's everyone's plan for christmas? Seeing family? Going travelling?
For myself:
Normally every christmas, me, my mum and my brother would go to my aunt's for christmas, but for the first time in 10 years we might be holding christmas at our house seeing as now we live in a house thats both A. large enough for the family and B. Within reasonable travelling distance for the family.
But depending on whether a job I applied for happens I may actually be working all christmas day. Would suck if it were not for the fact that on christmas its double time pay, so working a few hours could equal $300.

Re: Plans for Christmas
Off to my dad's this weekend, where my sister and brother in-law will aqlso be there. Gonna have meal out and go christmas shopping.
Spending Christmas weekend itself alone, in my flat.
Then back to my dad's for New Year.

Re: Plans for Christmas
I'm gonna pick up my grandmother again to spend Christmas with my mom and step dad, and this time my sister and her boyfriend will be joining us as well as a friend of hers. My mom has asked two single friends of hers to come but neither have confirmed they're coming.
Since we stopped going to the mountains for Christmas since my grandfather passed away (a little over 10 years ago), my mom had started a new tradition of inviting single souls for a nice Christmas Eve dinner.

Going down to Mexico, spending Christmas with my mum's side of the family at their second house in the countryside. Normally we'd travel by car a few hours there, but due to all the recent drug violence on the highways it's practically impossible to be safe without our own bodyguard convoy. Ergo, we'll be spending it at my grandfather's in Monterrey. Giant family + mexican cooking = fantastic christmas dinner
We'd planned to maybe fly out of there and spend New Year's in Fontainebleau with the Frenchie part of the family, but nothing's in stone just yet.

Christmas (and New Year's) are 2 days of the year when I'm reminded of how little I have in the way of friends and family. That being said, stuff does usually come up. Some parties / get togethers. There are people I see so it's not all bad.
But yeah, I've never experienced that ideal Christmas gathering that many families enjoy(ed).

Meh, I don't think you could classify my gatherings as the ideal type. Our family is not really the 'tight-knit' kind, they're more the cutthroat-over-bank-accounts kind. Conservative upper-class Mexican society can be brutal
