MP4 Players
Post what MP4 player you own.
I myself own a 'Creative Zen X-fi'. The sound quality on it is absolutly amazing, definitly better than when I used to own a Nano.

I have an i-Pod nano. In purple, which is the main reason I bought it, so sad I know! I bought my step dad a Zen thing for fathers day as a joint present and the sound on that is awesome, I wish I'd gotten that now
But I am happy with my i-Pod, I has spore on it

Re: MP4 Players
I don't have one. I used to own a 2nd-gen iPod but it broke after dropping to the floor by accident and we didn't have them fancy repair services back then, so I threw it away and haven't bought a new one ever since.

Re: MP4 Players
I have an Ipod touch, they are fun if you want to play games or watch movies, but the only problem is that the screen is soo delicate. If any little thing hits the screen, you get scratches on it
Re: MP4 Players
I have a Creative Zen - I refuse to buy an iPod or iPhone. I wanna get a xi-fi though.
Re: MP4 Players
Ipod Touch. Currently out of commission but as the headphone input is SPORE.
Hey Reyes you know you can get those clear plastic films to put over the screen to stop that right?

Yeah, I do. I just have a silky puch thing for mine. Still, the old ipods are like brock. You could throw one at a wall it wouldn't break, the ipod touch, drop it 3 feet from the ground, good bye ipod touch
Re: MP4 Players
I might soon be getting an i-touch! :green:

Re: MP4 Players
I have an itouch. More fun to use than an ipod. One piece of advice for you ben, if you get one, get some sort of protective covering. Seriously just about anything can scratch the screen and they are pretty fragile. I also have my old 120 G ipod
I used my ipod when I go for jogs or go camping, anything outdoors and i used my itouch when I'm travelling or indoor

Re: MP4 Players
I know that already from my touch-screen phone

Without sounding like an old geezer, a teacher once told me that listening to music constantly while walking, jogging or driving, you're getting out of whack with your environment.
With walking, jogging or driving into people who do, he was right. =|

I'm normally fairly aware of whats going on around me when I'm listening to my ipod. Its only if you start focusing on the song that you might run into someone. Admittely I've run into someone before, very hard....
Re: MP4 Players
Lol I'm pretty sure that I've at least done that once before...I have an Ipod Classic 160GB I've barely scratched the surface for putting stuff on it

Re: MP4 Players
Reyes1, everybody says that - even me - but I have realized that without the constant blaring of music in your ears, you're not 100% aware of anything around you. My mobile phone (I do own one) is pretty loud indoors, but when I have it in my pocket when in the street, I still don't hear it unless it's really, really quiet and I'm initially attentive for it.
Next time you go on a jog, try and see how many driving cars, people or animals you notice and try to recount them when you're done. If you can recall car brands, license plate numbers, clothes and even animal species while having listened to your music then you're much better off than the rest of us.

Re: MP4 Players
Andy, sometimes it's alright to not be 100% aware o what's around you...
i live on a busy and long road, in order to get the city centre i ust go down this road, it's a dull route and as long as i'm aware of my surroundings and of drivers it's fine to listen.
You have to admit it breaks up the monotimony of some journeys.

Re: MP4 Players
@ andeavor. Man, even without an mp3 player blasting, I never pay THAT much attention to whats going on around me. I don't always jog with my ipod, but even then I normally just look forward. Things like dog across the street don't normally grab my attention. Half the time I tend to zone out. Proabably not the best thing
oh no I never use a phone or and mp3 player while driving, I turn my phone off all together while driving. At most I listen to the radio

Re: MP4 Players
See, there's the problem of today's society and you're part of it. We have selective hearing and as of late selective seeing. We just deal with what we want to deal with and everything else is non-existant. I've lived in both quiet suburbs and busy cities and ever since I was pointed out on that, I've learned to take in my environment. I admit, I sometimes zone out, too, but that's when my mind is rattling about with one of my many projects, but I do try my best to at least recognize car noises or foot steps and keep myself from harm.Reyes1 wrote:@ andeavor. On the other hand, you do get to see or hear interesting things when you're all ears and eyes. On the plus side, you really get to know your neighborhood like that.

Re: MP4 Players
Its just suburban living. There are so many sounds and sights that when you focus on it, it seems rather chaotic. Rather than dealing with it, its just easier to tune it out.
I used to live in a quiet rural area. Alot more peaceful and it was alot easier to take a second and look around.
And thanks (lolli pop for me). I know people who've gotten into accidnets from not paying attention. I don't want be become a crash statistic
