Halo 3 vs. Modern Warfare 2

Everybody has their own opinion. I, personally like both, though I play Halo way more. Mw2 has a way better battling experience, there's no getting around that, but that's all it has. Hali not only has a great batlling experience, but it also has the custom games and forge which you can make just about any game with. To me, fighting nonstop gets boring so I play halo custom games with friends and just have a good time.

What's your opinion?

I'll make sure to add you next time I'm online. To be frank I got bored of Modern Warfare 2 very quickly. Sure the upgrades and what not were fun for a bit, but it just got repetative. I prefer halo 3, because you can mix it up. I agree with you forge and the custom games are fantastic. I love making sculptures in halo 3 forge. I'll say modern warfare 2 better combat system, halo 3 generally is more entertaining.

oh and plus the easy to use machinima thing in halo 3 is wicked

Yeah everyone here prefers halo... But everyone at my school thinks mw2 is better... Yet, most of my friends online play mw2. Actually, either all my friends are playing mw2. If not, all are playing halo btw I may not get requests from everyone cuz I have so many friends... If you wanna add me, just pm me here and I'll request you...

I prefer MW2 to halo.

I'm pretty sure Halo beats MW2

MW2 gets so repetive and boring, whereas in Halo you are able to customize things and such. It's almost like comparing an action packed Spore to a rather violent Pokemon, Halo being Spore and MW2 being Pokemon - Metaphorically speaking.

Halo kind of feels schizophrenic though, one minute the colours are violently bright and the next its trying to be atmospheric by attempting to tone it down when fighting the flood. I also think the gameplay is quite outdated, with enemies taking stupid amouts of ammo and the jump mechanic being quite frankly ludicrous. All the time you are constantly being reminded that you are inside an arcade-style videogame rather than being told a story or having an immersive video game experience. If I wanted that kind of multiplayer anarchy I'd quite frankly go for timesplitters instead. I just think that halo, while good isn't great. For everything it tries to be good at there is another game that's better at it.

Edit: the Farcry/Crysis multiplayer map editors are incredibly powerful and beautiful and give you so much to play with it is unreal. The timesplitters one wasn't bad either, I spent many hours making incredibly fun maps on the old Xbox.

Halo=good
MW2=bad

MW2=good
Halo3=mediocre, especially compared to a lot of other games out there.

I myself prefer halo... Speaking of which, the new reach beta is epic!

Halo 3, the ranking system is a lot more fun, forcing you to switch through social and ranked matches. I also love the armor permutation system, and really. The weapons are a lot more balanced, sure the noob with the rocket launcher is annoying, but nothing compared to the jerk with one man army / gernade launchers and danger close on. Plus. It has vehicles.

I Like Both. But I think reach will top 'em all. nuff said. although black ops looks interesting, and from what I've heard, there removing Noob tubes and Riot sheilds, which is a plus!

Plus they are gonna get arid of end-game killstreak(s) aswell (My nuke count on MW2 is about 16 anyway).

I totally agree with you, after playing the reach beta, I was already hyped up a BETA for gods sake. Sadly however, halo 3 will soon die after reaches release according to bungie.net

Alas! It is true that Good things end. But only when we find somthing better. Also MY Nuke count: 0! (I go for killstreak emblems, not nukes. currently I have UAV carepackage and COunter UAV. Also, MW2 was my first cod game, so I sucked.

I've played both and personally I like MW2 the realism is great for me...I will agree though it can get a bit repetitive, i tend to play it more than Halo 3...i'll agree also that the forge and making the game "your own" is great in Halo...so I like both.

Halo 3, however, Halo 1 is Vastly superior to both games.

Sorry to burst your bubble kre, but MW2 is far from realistic. I think the only thing that could be realistic are the guns, and some other things I can't say on the top of my head.
