Darkspore Complaints

Darkspore-Spore Relation
Okay, so I see a lot of people on other places (such as youtube and game websites) that think Darkspore is Spore related.



No, it is nothing like Spore. The only thing similar is the editor, but even that isn't very much the same.

"I want Expansion not Darkspore waaaah!!!!"
A LOT of people on the Sporum are complaining how they asked for expansion, and instead got Darkspore.



You know what? We don't deserve an expansion. If we are always whining about how we want expansion, and how we don't get what we want, EA should be just ignoring us. The Spore community overall is just a bunch of whiners and complainers and spoiled little children. If we want an expansion, we should probably stop complaining, and wait to see if our ideas are implemented.

Patience seems like a word that no longer exists in this world.

Darkspore is too violent!
Oh so you prefer the kiddy little Spore? You want magical candy canes with smiley faces everywhere? You want a cute little game called DARKSPORE?!



Darkspore is called Darkspore for a reason. It's dark. And if you are complaining about the violence in Darkspore, you'd shoot yourself if you see some other games.

If I missed any other stupid complaints about Darkspore, please say.

And yes, I know I'm whining about other people whining, but whatever. It's actually more of little rants.

You're right, though :/ People whine way too much, the community is absolutely ruined and some how gets worse every day, and no one seems to appreciate what EA and Maxis is doing for us when they have tonnes more bigger games to focus on.

I understand why people whine, but it's not helping anything.

Comon, the community isn't so bad, we'll get our Spore 2, one day =)

The community is bearable, but I love the Eurospore community - everyone here knows each other, has a sense of humor, and we're all fairly mature. The Sporum is getting out of control

I think Maxis do need some more of their people around to keep the community in order if they're going to work on a project like this.
Darkspore might be really good...
But there's no where for me to make vehicles and ships...
What EA/Maxis have achieved so far is pretty damn good ,but there is the inevitable problem with spore... the concepts behind it are vast perhaps too big for them to cover think about it the game covers the whole of history and much of the possible future in multiple game modes
Potentially given the resources (which Maxis don't have due to EA slashing their budget) how much more do you think maxis would have made?
I can imagine them splitting up civilisation stage up more, lots more stuff in space stage, the long sought after aquatic stage.
To be realistic about spore is to admit they're done a great job in an area where people will always expect more.
I hope Darkspore will be a great game, for Maxis' sake, otherwise EA may cut their budget even more and the community will be in uproar.

The Sporum is rather messy. :/ The spam attack count there is also tremendous. I sometimes mistake it for a Spam forum.

I have never heard of DarkSpore and yes there are way too many whiners. DarkSpore sounds kind of interesting though ooohh...

The Sporum is as dark as Darkspore.

The main aspect I find appealing about darkspore is that you can finally play with other sporers. alot of people say they aren't going to get it, but I beat most will, if for no other reason to try and validate their anger over Darkspore

Reyes, I plan on not getting it, the only chances of me getting it would be...

-If I was given it as a present (I am not going to ask for it)
-A year or so after release when it is really cheap and I am really bored.

This does not mean that DarkSpore cannot continue to be discussed here.

Wow... the people on YouTube are complete idiots when they comment on the Darkspore trailers.

I agree on some level. The complaining is utterly pointless, and doesn't serve any purpose at all. However, I am not pleased with darkspore at all. To be honest, I feel exactly like the whiners on all three aspects you mentioned in the first post. I just don't go around screaming and crying about it. Honestly, I can only think of one time I openly complained about it...
