Why am I having such an issue? Spore installed, but won't update, C&C won't install because Spore isn't updated... Was super happy about the new PC... Happiness fading... Please... Help... Me!!!!

When i run SPore and say yes to update in game, i get downloading patch forever... EA DM doesn't even detect the spore i have installed. SO patching that way is out. ANy advise?

What if you tried installing each patch, individually?

This is the ideal order for re-installation

Spore > Patch 1 > Patch 2 > C&C > Patch 3 > Patch 4> Patch 5> Patch 5.1> GA > Patch 5.1 Again > Patch 6 & Robo Parts > Restore saved files (if you backed them up)

Wp, this is a bit redundant, I usually recommend people to install in this order:
spore>patch 5.1>c&C>ga>patch 5.1 again or robot parts.

Patches are cumulative.
