V - New TV Series

Now that the first season of The Walking Dead is over, Fox is going to throw another series named V.

From the clips and descriptions I've been reading, it seems to be quite cool.

IMDB description: An extraterrestrial race arrives on Earth with seemingly good intentions, only to slowly reveal their true machinations the more ingrained into society they become.

If you haven't know before, V is a remake of a rather successful mini-series/television series from the early 80s.

I've grown tired of the whole alien invasion thing, as twistful as they bring it. I'd rather they did something new for a change... the commies lost, the cold war is over.

Yes, I was aware it was a remake of an old, sucessful series.

Although it is not very original any more, it is still a theme that interests me.

I wonder what other series they could come up with. Something that has not been done before. Hmm... A transvestite squad fighting off a teletubby invasion? scratch

Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to start watching V. It will air this upcoming Tuesday and then one episode a week.

Well, I have a few ideas that aren't so conventional as the "Hollywood" crap television networks seem to aim for these days.

I'm actually surprised the Sy-fy channel didn't jump on it, somehow ABC (not Fox) seems to have an odd interest in sci-fi since last year, but they're not that good at keeping any of them alive longer than one or two seasons.

I would watch it but somehow Anna, the aliens' front woman rubs me the wrong way.

It is not very good, the original sucked aswell. I have not watched the new one as the clips i saw looked terrible.

You should not say it is not good if you have not seen it yet. confused

One thing is saying the clips didn't look good after you saw them, other thing is saying the show is not very good although you have not seen it.

I've seen the whole series. Unless they are making another season, which I don't think they are. It's alright. There's some annoying things. I wouldn't say it's terrible though.

Just saw the first episode of V and it was quite cool. Thumbs Up

I believe it to be a nice series indeed. And that Anna does have an alien'ish look to her. Razz

Episode two was quite cool. I liked it better than the first one.

It's nice to see the story slowly growing and not really know what to expect.

I don't know. The series is ok at the start, but then as it progresses, it loses its appeal. Season 2 starts tomorrow.

Saw the third and fourth episode today. I´m still enjoying the series quite a lot. Better than I first thought, actually.

It´s nice you get many things to speculate about and don´t get many answers throughout the first episodes.

It can come across as slightly weird the aliens talking between themselves in English though.

Also looking forward to see one of them without the human skin over.

I have seen the old V serie of one season. Were a little boring and old.

I also saw some episodes of this new serie Razz

. Stopped somewhere to watch an other new serie. The few episodes I watched were fun and I might go back to it too someday Smile

At first, I was really excited about this show, thinking it was going to be V for Vendetta made as a series. I was pretty dissapointed when I realized it was yet another alien invasion. confused

Oh well. Might still be interesting.

The same thought crossed my mind when I first became aware of its existence, Mudo. I thought it was something related to the V for Vendetta movie. Razz

But it actually turns out to be a cool series. I like how the plot unfolds, always making you want to see more at the end of each episode.
