Re: Minecraft Mods, Skins And Texture Packs
I just played a little bit, (doing math homework and trying to slack) and its really nice. Haven't seen any animals or anything yet, but my blocks look great. Do enemies have new textures as well?

Re: Minecraft Mods, Skins And Texture Packs
Loki, if you plan to do more than just terrain.png you should create a zip for people to place in to their mods and texture packs folder.

Re: Minecraft Mods, Skins And Texture Packs
I would, but they'd be pretty fat tigers ^^'
Although, Nid, I have a certain mod you may really like (easy to install) that introduces new animals. I may change one of those into a tiger, if the creator doesn't make one soon :3

Oh Becca...I've noticed a small issue with your texture pack. Fire appears as somewhat of a missing texture.

Re: Minecraft Mods, Skins And Texture Packs
When using textures that are larger than 16x16 you need to use the HD texture fix patcher to make some of the textures work properly.sjhorm wrote:Oh Becca...I've noticed a small issue with your texture pack. Fire appears as somewhat of a missing texture.

My main skin from now on. A character with a question mark head.
@Marky
Told yah Alpha's different to classic!
Anyway, you'll want to gather logs from the trees and place them in a 2x2 grid in your inventory. Access your inventory with 'I'. Place the log on the grid at the top to the right of your character and take what is produced. It will produce wood. Keep getting until you finish a house. Then, get 4 wood blocks and place all of them filling up the 2x2 grid. This should create a workbench. Take the workbench and place the workbench in to your main inventory. Place the workbench on the ground, and right click. Here, there is a 3x3 grid. Arrange 6 wood blocks in a 2x3 rectangle and it'll create a door. Place the door at your house's entrance.
Useful tools are pickaxes, axes, shovels and swords. Pickaxes go through rock type items better, axes go through wood types better, shovels go through sand, soil and gravel better and swords kill monsters faster and helps destroy a few things. There are different types of these tools. Wood, cobblestone, iron, gold and diamond. Diamond is the strongest while wood is the weakest. Gold is the same as wood, only it looks better. Some things are indestructible unless the correct type of tool is used along with what it's made of. Bedrock which is at the bottom of every map however is indestructible with whatever tool.

Now, the second and third things you'll want, after the workbench, will be the furnace and the chest. The furnace is made in the workbench, and its 8 cobblestone blocks in a circle. Don't put one in the center. The chest is the same thing but made of planks. Two chests right next to each other make a large chest. Very helpful for valuable ores you don't want to endanger by keeping in your inventory. My favorite tools are the pickaxe and the axe. Axes because your most valuable resource in the whole game will be logs. And the pickaxe for obvious reasons. Due to me not hitting any diamond deposits big enough for tool-making, I use iron most of the time.
Armor is also a helpful staple if you keep your game on other than peaceful.
