Star Wars Games
I was just thinking about it today when I was looking through my xbox games. I thought, they have made a lot of star wars games. So I decided to look up exactly how many star wars games have been made and....................... ..... this list is massive (which is why I have put it in a spoiler).
Star Wars games I have owned are:
Star Wars Obi Wan
Star Wars Jedi Academy
Star Wars Republic Commando
Star Wars Battle Front 1 and 2
Star Wars Force Unleashed 1 and 2
and of course. Lego Star Wars
The one I actually have the fondest memories of is Star Wars Jedi Academy. I just remember the multiplayer being endlessly fun.
Republic commando was probably the one I like the least as I could never get the whole squad based tactics down correctly.
Battle Front 1 was awesome and while Battle Front 2 was better, there are two things from Battle Front 1 that they took away in Battle Front 2 that they should have left in. In the first one, you could get into air vehicles and fly around the map killing. I thought that feature was awesome, but they got rid of it in the second one and limited space vehicles to space battles.
But there was also another little thing where in the first one, you could shoot a grenade at you feet and it would send you flying and you wouldn't die but in the second one, you'd die every time.
But over all the sequel was much better.
The force Unleashed was just cool for the mechanics and the moves. Love forcing pushing storm troopers.
The second one was great as well, but yet somehow seemed to feel lacking. Didn't quite capture the magic of the first one.
And Lego star wars........well its lego star wars..
So which Star Wars games have you played/owned and what are your favourites?
and
Do you think they'll ever stop making Star Wars games?

StarWars BattleFront I and II (awesome games)
StarWars: Force Unleashed
Yeah, not a massive fan, but BattleFront needs an updated ultimate version.

Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast (GameCube)
Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (PC)
Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga (XBox 360)
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (XBox 360)
George Lucas had plans for a sequel trilogy as well as a live-action TV series depicting the events after the Empire fell and the Jedi re-emerged. The Star Wars universe is big, so I doubt we'd run out of games anytime soon.

I don't know why but I never got into Knights of the old republic. I remember playing it years and years ago, and I didn't like it. Might see if I can find a copy. Might be the same thing I have with movies, where years later I like it.

Haven't heard of that movie. I don't know what it is, but with movies and games, often I'll hate it initially, leave it for months or years, come back to it and love it.
Two games that I was like that with are Elder Scrolls: Morrowind and Jade Empire. Hated both first time around, years later, played both and loved them.

This is what happened to me with that very game. I picked it up year later and started to like it instead of hating it.

I remember owning Knights of the old republic one and two for the old xbox. Now the only starwars games I have are Force Unleashed (I honestly don't play that one) and the lego ones. I perfer to play the lego ones since I find them really funny. So theres a chance I might get that new lego star wars game soon.

When I first saw a lego star wars game, I assumed it would be stupid and cheap, but started playing it and... its very addictive. Seen videos for the new lego star wars, looks pretty awesome.
Re: Star Wars Games
KOTOR is being quite cool. I really like how the game is very open and how I've ended up enjoying the combat system a lot.
There are a few flaws, like ranged weapons being totally underpowered and Pazaak seems rigged sometimes, lol.
Regardless of such, the game is very good if you're into Space RPGs/Star Wars universe. It's mysterious, has a lot of depth and many choices to do.
I think I'm almost finishing and am considering giving it another playthrough as an evil character.
Will look at KOTOR II at some point this month (or maybe the next).

Spoilers regarding the GenoHaradan.
I have finished the game and was very cool. Playing as an evil character now. There are some funny lines to it.
- Spoiler:
- Was funny (and a little annoying because I liked them initially ) that the GenoHaradan quest is the same as the Black Hand's in Oblivion - You unknowingly murder the leaders and then it's semi-over.

Let's see here which games I own...
Star Wars Jedi Knight II - Jedi Outcast
Star Wars Jedi Kight - Jedi Academy
Star Wars Battlefront
Star Wars Battlefront II
Star Wars Republic Commando
Star Wars Episode III, Revenge of the Sith
Lego Star Wars II - The original Trilogy
Star Wars KOTOR
Star Wars KOTOR II
The first one is definitely my favorite. That's the game I grew up with, so it has a very special place in my heart. I think it might have been the very first hardcore computer game I played - not one those educational ones I had earlier as a kid. Jedi Academy had better multiplayer and some sweet moves, but the campaign of the former game was better. It was a lot longer and more engaging. But Jedi Academy was very awesome as well, I wonder where it went - I lost it some years ago and haven't been able to find it.
The lightsaber battles where - in both games - the best I've seen in any Star Wars game. They were fast-paced and very fancy in the way lightsaber duels are, yet the controls were so simple and intuitive. With few exceptions, the direction key you pressed is what decided what kind of attack you would use.
The FPS part is not as fun as when you get your lightsaber and start using the force, which is when the really good part of the game begins. Especially when you face your first dark Jedi. But the FPS part is still cool and good.

Re: Star Wars Games
You just reminded me Damna, I too had Star Wars Jedi Knight 2- Jedi Outcast. i knew there was one i was forgetting. Been a looong time since I had that, let alone played it, but I remember indeed liking it very much.
Now that you bring up the subject of star war s games again, I suppose its relevant to talk about the newest star wats game coming out.
Star Wars : The Old Republic. Online mmorpg. Anyone planning on picking it up?
When I first heard about it and saw the very first trailer for it, I was rather unimpressed. even for an mmorpg, the graphics looked fairly poor and the fighting looked pretty stale, but I've seen more than a few videos elaborating on the different classes you can be and how you can upgrade your class, and it looks pretty cool.
I like the idea of branching classes, in that there isn't just one top level of a class, but multiple route you can take in upgrading your character. Puts a bit of diversity into it and would also make you want to make new characters of the same class to see what taking the alternate upgrade route would do.
Other than that I haven't seen too much about it, but it has gotten me interested in it. I might keep track of it.
Still, I also really hope they are working on a Battlefront 3. I miss that series.

I want a Battlefront for the PS3, Remi, Ultimate Battlefront would be good, with all battles from the films - possibly even a level editor, character editor and the like.

Development and deadline issues.
I must say this...
Development is surely easy, just take all the battles in the first two and all the ideas, comine them and update the graphics. That limits a lot of the work, then they can work on the various rasied by this and a few added extras.
