Re: EuroSpore on Steam
Ashamed to say I have never been on Steam and am not entirely sure what it is.
Re: EuroSpore on Steam
Basically, a gaming community centre. By having steam and internet access, you can immediately purchase any games they have in store for reasonable prices. They often make sales and such as well. Furthermore, you can follow friends there too, see their games and so on.
Some games are linked to steam and buying them "by hand" will prep you to put up steam, if you don't have it yet. That's how I got mine running.

Rome: Total War is available on Steam? They have games that are that old?
*Checks the steam store*
Well I'd be hit in the head and thrown in the bed! They have Jedi Outcast too, one of the best game ever made. And Jedi Academy, the sequel that I lost years ago. I think I'm going to buy it at some point.
How awesome that you can get these older games through Steam! That alone is a reason to get it.

Yes. I got gold for 10 dollars. I played it for a couple of hours, seems very fun, more like a mix between a standard RTS and some elements of simcity.
Well, that's also the reason I got it. You see I have a low end system (a laptop) so most of the games I want are pretty old - and you can't find these on stores (let alone in Greece, where PC gaming is less prevalent) , and since torrenting isn't my thing, the fact that you can get them legally at usually decent to very low prices is very nice.

Not only do they have some of the older games, they also have entire collection sales once in a while where you can get them all dirt cheap.
Slime, you should check out gog.com if you're looking for some older or less-demanding games.

Re: EuroSpore on Steam
Only the versions of spore and GA bought on steam will be accepted by steam I'm afraid.
Re: EuroSpore on Steam
You can add it as a non steam game.

Re: EuroSpore on Steam
We should get a team fortress 2 group going, and find a server that's rarely got anyone online. I know a good one, but I'm interested to know what people think.

I've been toying with the idea of getting TF2 but I'm not really big on those games and I'm already behind with my LPs.

TF2 is easily one of the most addicting games ever.
I love it so much Gameplay, graphics, classes, balance, humour, all there and all brilliantly executed

Re: EuroSpore on Steam
I agree, I'd enjoy it a lot more if there was a campaign mode included, rather than it just being: vs NPC's or vs over Internet.
