Re: Best Mother's Day recipes EVER!
I have a recipe for Brownies.
1/2 cup (1 stick) of melted butter, 1 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 2 eggs, 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, 1/3 cup Cocoa, 1/4 teaspoon baking powder, 1/4 teaspoon salt. Nuts and chocolate chips are optional for putting into the mix before baking.
~Steps~
1. Heat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-inch square baking pan. For greasing the pan, I would suggest a light spray of vegtable oil. It's the only kind that doesn't make the brownies stick to the sides.
2. Stir together the dry ingredients. Then slowly, while mixing, add the rest. No, Eggs don't count as a dry ingredient. Sorry. After that, just pour it into the pan.
3. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into squares. The result will be about 16 brownies.
