Okay, ladies and gents, we have our fifth feature!
Today's Class are: The Cephalopods!
Here are some lovely images of our squidgy friends.
An Octopus.
A Humboldt Squid.
And a Chambered Nautilus.
These strange, yet highly intelligent animals have been around a very long time. Although most of them are rather small, you can get real giants. Most of the real titans of the cephalopod family are rare, and some are only speculation.
Ladies and gentlemen, from now until next week, we have the Cephalopod Week. Please submit your tributes to this class of animal, and they will come here for critique at the end of the week!
Submissions awaiting critique on sunday:
Lumorei's Octopus.

I believe this topic I once made will suit the Cephalopod Week rather well

I tried that before, it never works out the way I want it to.
In 2D it looks like crap.
In 3D the legs are too fragile.
In 4D it can't exist.

I can think of a way to do a octopus, possibly using swiss rolls to create the tentacles, and then a layered cake for the main body. Cover it in some form of icing... possibly royal icing

I think that might work if you support it with wire cables!
But sadly, I've been beaten at my own game already.
Re: Animal Fan Club! Back in business
How did they get the skin texture?
I'm taking a guess at the suckers being made out of dried banana or something similar
Although this one isn't as realistic it's still very good!

@Ben: Technically if it's still about animals it's not off topic

Even if it´s about what sort of meat goes better with potatoes?

Re: Animal Fan Club! Back in business
I'd say that depends on the style you plan to cook the potatoes and the type of meat along with cooking style...
For example for a side of roasted venison you'd probably need to roast potatoes...
But Roast chicken is much more flexible as you can do roast, sautéed potatoes etc...
