Mass-Downrating

All of the creations I shared today have been mass-downrated in the past 6 hours.

This is rather fishy, methinks.

Is this lunacy still happening?

Probably a co-ordinated attack against you, Andy. Don't get flustered over such a triviality.

Apparently, techno605 and CrimsonLights have been in an argument again, which caused another mass-downrating attack against select creators - including me, which makes no sense whatsoever.

Some are trying to calm down everyone but to no avail. What really strikes me odd is that it is me they are targeting this week, and I don't know what I did to anyone to "deserve" it.

If this keeps going I'm gonna make an announcement creation that will rock the Spore community.

Getting worked up by it is exactly what the downraters want.

Andy down raters do not need a particular reason for down rating you. A long time ago, i made a creation called arachnophobia. I hadn't done anything, nor had I sad anything to anyone that would annoy them and yet it got smacked hard by down raters. then there was the long string of down rating attacks on me a few months ago, but that's because of things I said on Iced mask's creations about L0M.

Advice. Don't feed them. That down rated you now, but because so far you haven't said anything, they won't target you for very long. The second you make a creation directed at them or says something about it, they will see you as a real target and will start focusing on you. Simply ignore it. Don't make the mistake others like Slarti, Hydro, Iced and myself have made

Ive stopped wondering about the logic explanation behind downrating. First it seemed "logical" that someone who said L0M against where attacked, but now.. idk.

Yes. The MPN is undoubtedly being manipulated... it's sad, really.

(Mass) Raters gonna rate.

The only time I use my alts to "manipulate" is when people complain on the MPN on how they are being down-rated. Then, I just up-rate 5 or 6 back to a yellow face. I really don't like seeing protest/rant/announcement creations on the MPN.

Actually, I don't either.

But I'm much too lazy to actually go and rate it off the MPN.

While I generally disapprove of unfair-ratings of any kind, honestly, I think removing junk (protests, copies, attention-seeking) is perhaps the only acceptable time. Maybe even announcements and contest stuff UNLESS it is actually nicely made. Like Andeavor and Tuinahvuni - when they have something to share, they do it in style. Not some lame ! or smiley face or a 5-minute creation.

The only-time I ever got down-rated is for making a puzzle adventure. Honestly, if you're gonna play a puzzle adventure, you shouldn't down-rate it after you lose once


But, I'm sure there are people who really like Spore, and don't wanna get down-rated, which I understand.

....I've been hit by downrates.....nice big -21.4 points leeched.

But, I've learned not to care.

My Mech yesterday got hit to red face then back up to yellow face. Only happened when it hit 3rd MPN (but everyone was getting hit that day, 2nd MPN was a blue face with 3rd and 4th afterwards being yellow).

Well...

That's better than having basically all your creations red-faced.

Downraters are jerks.

Can't believe they haven't done something about it yet, disappointed.

I don't think my first downrate was even personal, the entire mpn got downrated (except for techno, which I think they are trying to frame for it). I was pretty SPORE though, I just got to mpn#1 and then it literally went down a 100 rates to -10.
However, I'm not going to take the effort of making a response. They don't deserve the attention.

I really really don't care anymore

I have my subs, comments and fans. No downrater can affect those stats.

This is all im gonna say on the matter.

My most recent creation got a redface.... and i didn't even remotely care. My reaction to seeing a redface on my creation, about 0.0001 seconds long. Time it would have taken for them to downrate me that low, a couple minutes. That was a couple minutes of that persons life absolutely 100% wasted.
