Indeed, I knew Bungie said Halo:Reach was it for them. I am still curious as to see what a new Halo would be like, especially if they were planning on bringing back the Master Chief
Re: E3 2011 :O
Halo 3 did have quite and ambiguous ending so who knows what it'll be about. Especially considering its going to be trilogy.

It might not be about the same thing the last games were. You never really know I mean, all we got is that trailer. The spartan could have been in sleep for 100s of years. Its not really worth stamping good are bad yet, no one even knows what its about.
I am far more pleased to hear of the CE Remake.
Why the awkward announcer guy.... whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Can you watch Nintendo?
Sony has had the best conference in my opinion so far.

Halo 4 is being developed by 343 Industries, which I think partly consists of people who've been working on Halo previously over the years. So Halo Reach was Bungie's last Halo game, but not the last Halo ever. I'm not sure what to expect from this new game though. It's the beginning of a new trilogy, which we will hopefully have fun with during coming years. I really wonder what's left for Master Chief to shoot, with the Flood and the Covenant defeated.
And I'm likely going to get the CE Anniversary. I still play CE occasionally (typically as part of a Halo campaign marathon) and I guess an HD remake would make it feel almost like new.

I want skyrim now....
Also looking foward to prototype 2 and the new hitman game.
@Damn, yar I knew there was a possibility of a new Halo game as only Bungie said they weren't going to directly develop any future halo games.
I'm probably going to pic up Combat evolved Anniversary as well. Saw bits an pieces of the mastered version. Looks good.
As for Halo 4. The trailer doesn't reveal much. Most likely judging by the massive spaceship there is something larger and more powerful than the covenant in the universe. I don't know much about the Halo Books or other stories, but a random guess of mine in that that spaceship is something to do with the forerunners. Just throwing in my bet early on that.

@Vek: How about Battlefield 3? That's for the PC, mainly.
Edit: Oh and there were several games for Xbox Kinect. That's not handheld

Not a fan of Battlefield and I don't have, or really want, an Xbox.
Sorry, I'll stop complaining.
Re: E3 2011 :O
Not every E3 has everything for everybody. I, too, am not exited in the least for handhelds (I'll get excited when we get cheap built-in 3D TV screens) and they are in general pushing motion control with too many standard family fun games.
Most hardcore gamers really only want to know the game lineup, which this year seems very FPS and fighter heavy. And we get enough snippets of info of those throughout the year.

Re: E3 2011 :O
The sort of games I'm into rarely get the headlines - Pro Evo / FIFA games have been around for years now, and driving games have had their realistic experience for a long time too. I have no interest in 3D or HD since I can't tell the difference from standard definition - the only reason I even champion HD Graphics is that I then know the graphics capabilities are up to scratch.
In the last few years only Motion Control has astounded me, and if Nintendo waste their advantage by letting Microsoft take over, that is their problem. Touch Screen is the next evolution I think, but that will require a wholesale move to touchscreen TV - however, it has little to add to gaming, it will only be useful for games that work far better on PC (like Civilization and The Sims), and laptops are now available in this area, I am sure monitors are too.
The only FPS I am looking forward to is Resistance 3, in fact the only game I am looking forward to is Resistance 3. I know Pro Evo 2012 will be released in October/November (as will FIFA 12), and unless Pro Evo adds a new feature like it did last year (Stadium Creator) I have not got any intention of purchasing it this time around.
The reason I am not into handhelds is because of laptop technology. I have always been much more interested in that since on laptops I can do stuff other than gaming, watching movies and listening to music - years before any handlheld or phone could. I can also hold a lot more data and the screen is bigger - screen size is one thing that is big for me, and probably one reason why I hate mobile phones and smartphones in particular. Yes I have a MP4 player, but I don't watch movies on it, I have a large telly, a large monitor and a laptop, all of which are HD.

You never liked vast, open-ended RPG's with a good story and high customizability of your character?
