Re: What did you buy?
Who wouldn't want a llama Ben?
I bought my morning hazelnut latte and probably the creamiest, smoothest passion fruit yoghurt I've ever tasted
pfft and people question my manliness.

A pack of "intense" brand mints. They aren't kidding when they call them intense. Had one, now when I breathe if feels like I'm inhaling liquid nitrogen
Re: What did you buy?
A load of new clothes for the winter. I also purchased the LoZ Twilight princess game for my sister's birthday, which is suprisingly good fun

That is a good game. Although, I hate telling people I've been playing
'Twilight Princess'. They immediately assume vampires and...ick.

Well there is a wolf and I'm sure something sparkles in the game so there you go.

I bought 2 camera lenses the other day. That puts me up to 6 lenses for my SLR. I love Craigslist.

Re: What did you buy?
A Thank you card.
As I've mentioned on other threads, me and a friend quite regularly go and get coffees at the uni cafe' and as such we've become rather good friends with the staff there.
One in particular named Bev has always been very very nice to us. She'll randomly give us free coffees, free food or half the price on expensive food. Infact, since getting to know Bev, neither me or my friend have paid full price for a coffee, though that wasn't our intention for being friends with her.
So I thought it would be nice if we got the staff there a card to say thankyou as they closed down for this year, today. Just thought they should feel appreciated for being such nice people (as many cafe workers that I've encountered are grumpy and irritable).
Wrote a message in it and gave it to Bev and the other workers and they gave us hugs and said thanks. Felt good.

Re: What did you buy?
Bought a wristwatch. Sort of an impulse buy, but it looks nice and I have trouble keeping up with time, so I might try giving wearing a wrist watch another go

What sort of wristwatch? I am curious, as I have a small collection of my own. Also, the key to getting used to a wristwatch is sticking it on your wrist every time you go out for a few days. It'll feel a bit odd at first, but you will get used to it.

Just a cheap $40 Casio wrist watch. Not particularly impressive. But it does its job and looks good enough. Saw some $100+ and $200+ ones that looked no better and served no further function which made me wonder what exactly I'd be paying for.
I think that was probably my problem the first time around. I'd wear it one day, then not wear it the next, until I'd progressively wear it less and less till the point it was just collecting dust in a desk drawer. Been trying to keep consistent with wearing it, but I'll admit I forgot to yesterday

Watches are man-jewelry. The ones that cost over a $100K usually do the same basic things that the $40 ones do: tell time.

Got a 25" Asus monitor and a Clip Zip MP3 player (4GB + 16GB microSD card) over Newegg to celebrate the spirit of consumerism on Black Friday.
