- PLEASE SAY IF I'M MISSING SOMEONE
Okay, so I've been thinking this through as much as I could, and I've decided it could be a nice idea to come up with an adventure where others participated aswell, in other words: create an adventure with others.
It's not complicated to do, just require communication and will. I'd like it also to have some epic story, something we could work on together, giving ideas, here and here, coming up with people, races and missions and then present it here, in sporum, etc.
Just an idea, I thought it'd bring people together and also we could have a nice time.
Also, I don't mean using creations made last month or so and combine them randomly. If we were to do something, we'd have to work something from scratch, together, with a cool backstory made by us and such.
Feel free to discuss.

Forum's Adventure Sporecast
What we've got so far: (Suggestions are ALWAYS considered)
Story:
You are a prisoner being transported with many other convicts in a prison vessel. After the navigation systems being jammed, the ship ends up arriving in an unknown sector of space. Unknown alien crafts appear and shoot the prison ship, causing it to crash on a nearby planet. The crash killed many but there were a few survivors. The ones that survived have left the wreckage and ventured into the planet's environment, their fate being unknown. You wake up some hours after the crash and start investigating around, finding corpses, ship wreckage, reading computer logs and such. You then decide to venture into the forest, where you find some fruits, that you'll encounter throughout the adventure, that replenish your health, some wild life and some animal predators that got your scent. Here, you find the corpses of some of the survivors of the crash that decided to wander and their fate was unfortunate. After more investigation, you come across abandoned temples and statues and finally find some alien natives. They are going through a pre-middle age era, where they've built villages, statues, temples and chapels for their gods. They're pretty much spread throughout the planet. You interact with the natives, read some diaries, some temple inscriptions and find out that this native race has been enslaved by "daemons that came from the stars". These daemons are forcing them to work in mines and fields, torturing and killing the weak. You learn that they've been like this since centuries and they have a prophecy that dates eons ago, about the time a champion would be cast down by the native's gods, which would save them from the daemon invasion. Without learning much, you proceed through the jungle and start entering a more desertic, rocky, area. You come across some of these daemon aliens and fight them, aiding several native prisoners and such. You then realize this daemon aliens are, in fact, an advanced alien race that came to this planet in order to explore its riches and is using these natives are slaves. According to the prophecy, a savior would arrive and save them. After you do more battle and help more this opressed people, you start realizing, you are, in fact, this champion that's here to save them. You find it curious that the old prophecy in temple walls told the truth and even though you ended up here by accident, the natives don't believe in coincidence and believe there's a purpose to it. You're just trying to escape and stay alive but you end up taking a great lore in the destiny of these races. Later, you come across the oldest temple of these natives, which has been abandonned since the daemon aliens arrived. You step in and find out the true meaning of the prophecy. The hero that would come from the skies would save the natives indeed, but not by battling the daemons, but yes by freeing the titan that resides in the underworld and has been stuck there since the creation of the planet. You realize that if you want to get out of here alive, you'll have to aid the natives, so you find yourself in a native town, totally overrun by daemons. You battle your way in and arrive on the other side, where there's a great volcanoe. Inside, you have to do several logic tasks that only the "savior" could perform, since they are harsh and dangerous. Inside here, there's a daemon town, built centuries ago. After you complete this, the portal for the underworld will unlock and the titan will be freed. Once the titan is unleashed, it will decimate and smite any daemon aliens it comes across with, saving the natives. In the daemon town, perhaps could be a boss (Warlord, queen, hivemind, something) that perhaps you could kill it on your way out. In the middle of the chaos, where the daemons try to stop this colossal beast, you find one of their ships operationable and hijack it, escaping the planet this way.
(We'll make this in 2 parts/adventures)
Planet: Planet name: Ayedra - Exotic jungle, with some wildlife and high variety of plants. There would be many horrors around, such as dangerous predators and poisonous plants. This would be nearby the ship crash, so many wreckage and corpses would be around. There'd also be temples and statues in this area. The other area, is the rocky, grey ground, desert type region, with native villages, temples, daemon alien patrols, vehicles, etc. The final area, is the volcanic type area, where you free the titan and escape.
Genre: Adventure, mystery, horror, action, lore.
Extra: A thing we're going to use on this adventure is having some native diaries around, temple/statue inscriptions, computer logs (from your crashed ship and from the daemon aliens bases) that you can acess and check for information and some intel, to add some depth to the story. Like, when you're scouting around the crash, you come across a ripped piece of the bridge and find the navigator's log, where you find out a bit more about seconds before the crash.
Background story for the natives: The Traiyaxl
The Traiyaxl (Try-ahg-zill) are the tribe of the planet, a pre-middle age people who worship the Cloudseers, three deities who walk the clouds, watching over the world and their 'children'. They have a highly advanced and complex language, Triajyll (Try-ay-jill). They are a pacifist tribe, partially because their gods teach of unending love to all things that aren't evil. Because of this, they have a nigh-unbreakable bond with nature.
Cloudseers: The Cloudseers are three magnificent sky-dwelling deities that are sworn to the protection of their children and the environment of the planet. They consist of Krilitangu (Cry-Le-Tan-Goo), the seeder of life, Grauheng (Gru-Heng), the protector of souls, and Maliteph (Mal-ee-Teff), the balance of nature. Krilitangu is the deity that controls the birth of all the Traiyaxl, to make sure the newborn children are pure of heart. He weighs them in the river, and if they have any form of evil in them, their souls will sink, to be purified by the waves. Once purified, he kisses the soul sweetly, and the birth takes place. If the spirit is pure evil, he cries bitterly as he casts it away, and the baby dies. Grauheng is the Spirit who protects the souls after death, and before birth. It is his duty to fly in the skies with the souls, and protect them from evil. Should he fail, some might become corrupt and be cast away by Krilitangu. To stop this happening, it is customary that the tribe offer sweet leaves into the sky every week, to calm Gauheng down and make him strong. This tradition is strictly monitored by the Teridai (Ter-ah-die), or Tribe leader. If Gauheng fails its task, it is believed Krilitangu will become so aggrieved he will curse Gauheng, causing all the tribe's children to be corrupted with evil. Because of this, there is a third deity who is absolutely vital to the survival of the planet, who the Traiyaxl believe to be Maliteph. Maliteph is the balance of nature, the guardian who, according to the tribe's religion, will protect the tribe with his immesurable power. He is the teacher, the one who shows the tribe the importance of worship. His teachings are given in prayer by the Olesha (Oh-lee-sha) otherwise known as the shaman of the tribe. The Olesha is always female, as it is believed that Maliteph gave a part of his own soul to the females, to make them beautiful. This is how they know his teachings. With his prayers of balancing, the tribe keeps both Guaheng and Krilitangu happy. Since the beggining of times, the Traiyaxl have had a prophecy, given to the first Traiyaxl by the gods themselves. This Prophecy, written in several temple walls, obelisks and scrolls, states that one day, daemons from the stars will arrive and bring a wave of nightmare over the people. This reign of terror will last for centuries, while during that time, the gods will judge the performance of the Traiyaxl worthy or not. The next part of the Prophecy, claims that a champion, a hero, will be sent by the deities to save the Traiyaxl from the invading aliens. This hero will have to free a colossal titan from the underworld, which will protect the natives and purge the invaders.
This Prophecy dates milleniums before the Vorpacsis invaded. It is unknown how it came to exist. Some may believe the Traiyaxl gods do exist, while others may believe that an ancient Traiyaxl had the mind ability to forsee the future and predicted these happenings. Others claim it's just coincidence.
Background story for the daemon aliens: The Vorpacsis
Vorpacsis (Vor-pack-says). Known to the natives as "Daemons". The Vorpacsis are the alien race renowned for their ships that enter in such a way that they appear as flaming birds. To the simplistic Traiyaxl, the ships are called the Vorpid Traiyhiggera (Vor-ped Try-hee-ger-ah), or "Abyss Sky-shatterers". The Vorpacsis call their motherships Grashigxines (Grah-sheeg-rines).
Purpose
The Vorpacsis are an advanced race striving for perfection. When they see species with brilliant genes, their genetic scientists capture the entire race, incorporate the advanced genes into the Barridaku genepool, and then systematically set about annihilating the entire species, as it is now deemed 'inferior'. In this way, they can make themselves more powerful on the genetic level, while wiping out further competition. There's no such thing as a resistance against the Vorpacsis. If you put up too much of a fight, they'll simply blow your planet to high heavens. There are some rare cases where resistance has prevailed over the Vorpacsis, and anyone who achieves it is both feared and respected galaxy wide.
The Vorpacsis won't just steal your very genetic structure. They'll go as far as to steal every last bit of even slightly advanced technology off of you, incorporate it into their systems, and just to add insult to injury, they'll destroy you with your own technology.
Captives are held for thirty days, where their entire genetic structure is examined for possible advantages. After the thirty day period, if advantages are found, mass experiments will begin to incorporate the genes. If no advantages are found, they'll simply destroy the species. Either way, it will eventually lead to the death of the species.
Sometimes, when the Vorpacsis come across planets rich in resources, they tend to use slaves to explore these goods for them. It's what they've been doing for centuries in this planet, using the Traiyaxl as slaves in the fields and mines.
Ships
Vorpacsis have three types of Ship.
Grashigxines (Mentioned above)- Monstrous motherships. They contain the Parmatek (Pah-ma-tech), the King of the Vorpacsis; The Permidax (Per-me-dacks), the queen; Several Matikai (Mah-ti-kie), the Genetic Engineers; many Xxiligs (Zill-iggs), the soldiers; and plenty of Killixx (Kill-icks), Vorpacsis builders/repair crews. Vorpacsis have no Magical or spiritual beliefs, but they do have an innate ability to wield fire, the symbol of their species. The Grashigxines is rather infamously known for entering the atmosphere at a certain angle, where its engines can ignite the atmosphere in such a way that the ship looks like a flaming bird.
Matixines (Mat-icks-rines)- Fighters. They are ejected from the motherships. Their engines are specially built to make a trail of flame in such a way that they look like burning skulls. They move with incredible speed, which makes the engine reaction trail off a long distance, making these ships very intimidating.
Okuxines (Ock-ou-rines)- Transports/Capturers. They traverse the planet looking for worthy species, fire a web at specimens, and then drag this energy web into a compartment. The web is made of an almost invisible material, giving the illusion that the specimen is being pulled by a supernatural force. This only aggravates the "Daemons" nickname given to them by the Traiyaxl. The Okuxines is also known for landing and taking specimens through force, something the Vorpacsis Xxiligs are very good at

Okay, so I'll write some thoughts about the adventure acts and description. We'll take it from there, you guys give your suggestions, we'll alter some stuff and see where we get. Remember, this isn't how it's gona be. It's just a start point for us to work it together :-)
Alright, so adventure Title (Still need one) and then adventure description:
"You are a convict aboard the prison vessel *insert ship name*, being ferried to a prison moon. On your way there, the ship systems and scanners were jammed, causing a change in its route, ending up in an uncharted sector of space. There, the vessel was heavily damaged by unknown alien crafts, crashing on a nearby planet. You pass out, waking up after a few hours. Luckily, you've survived the crash with a few wounds. Now, you've got to find out a way to get out of here."
Act 1 "Harsh Landing" Description - "You passed out during the crash. Some hours later, you regain your senses. and get up from the rubble, feeling a little dizzy. Gladly, you haven't suffered any major injuries."
You then have a look around the crash site, where there's lots of wreckage, smoke and corpses. Perhaps an animal or two in the distance. In the middle of the junk, the objectives would be:
Objective 1 - Examine Guard's Corpse. - Upon examining: "This is the corpse of one of the guards of the prison ship. You have a look around and see plenty of other corpses and lots of wreckage. You wonder if you're the only survivor."
Objective 2 - Examine Computer Log (This would be inside a wrecked part of the craft, a computer panel). - Upon examining: "It seems you've found the computer log of the *ship name*'s navigator. Although it's heavily damaged, it appears to be slightly working. You turn it on and check the last recording: "This is *ship name*'s navigator *own name*. After our systems were jammed by what we conclude to have been alien technology, we've ended up in an uncharted region. Upon entering the area, we were immediatly assaulted by small unidentifyed alien crafts. Our communications were disabled and the ship's heavily damaged. Our only hope is to try to land it on one of the planets below."
Objective 3 - Examine Captain's Cabinet. (This would be inside a wrecked part of the craft) - Upon examining: "This seems to be the captain's quarters. You check the cabinets and find a cream you use to heal your light injuries. After some more inspecting, you find a Galactical Translator, a small device with the ability to translate alien languages into the generic one. You take it with you, just in case.
...
Act 2 "Hopes Crush" Description - "Suddenly, you hear roaring and steps. Predator creatures got the scent of the dead and are looking for a meal. This place doesn't seem too safe. Prepare to fight for your life."
Some predator animals appear on the wreckage, coming from the forest. I'm picturing them not too big, like the size of a big dog with a totally wicked look. They come to attack you. SInce this is a locked captain, you can defend yourself. There will also be some medkits and battery packs around.
Objective 1 - Kill the attacking predators. They'll wander around, attacking you on sight.
Objective 2 - Examine Burning Wreckage/Junk. - Upon Examining: "The crash site isn't safe. Parts of the ships are on the fire, predators are being attracted here and seems mostly everything is pretty useless. You have a look around and spot some tracks heading into the forest. Perhaps you're not the only one alive? Cautiously, you decide to have a look nearby, in case someone else made it."
Here, you leave the site and go into the forest. Lots of plants, perhaps some herbivore creatures. Up ahead, you come across 2 or 3 corpses.
Objective 3 - Examine Corpse. - Upon Examining: "You recognize these people. They were aboard the*ship's name*. It seems you weren't the only one to survive the impact. But these here were killed by someone or something. From the looks of the wounds, it doesn't seem to have been an animal. You wonder what's going on on this planet..."
Act 3 "Lost Mystery" Description - "You feel a strange presence in the air. Although this alien forest is capable of inspiring serenity, you feel evil lurks around. Cautiously, you continue exploring." (Might be too big for the square. Gona have to work on these texts)
So here you continue wondering more around, finding some cool plants, animals and then some forgotten statues and temples (which belonged to the natives) One of the objectives would be to examine one. You also find some berries that seem to have healing properties.
Objective 1 - Examine Alien Statue - Upon Examining: "An alien statue... By the looks of it, seems it has been here forgotten for decades. You can feel a slightly soothing, yet disturbing, aura emanating from it. Not far from your location, you spot some more of these structures. This one has a small empty socket. It looks like a piece is missing.
Objective 2 - Some new predators appear and you'd have to fight them off. Ideas for fighting (besides old-school) are accepted.
Ok, perhaps we could add a different objective here, like, somewhere around the ground, hidden under some bushes, some sort of curiously looking gem or small statuette, able to carry in your hand. You'd then have to take it to the first statue. In doing so, you'd either unlock a gate, or make appear a wall, or perhaps something else, which would appear in the following act.
Objective 3 - Bring X to Y.
- Arkanay - Directing, Story, Native buildings/props/creations and outfitting
- Nidking - Lore
- Icedmask - Herbivores, Story
- Lumorei - Native creature
- Dino589 - Landscape, concept art
- Vektrix - Predators
- Zellex - Organisms
- MarkyDMan - Daemon alien vehicles and ships

Arkanay wrote:Okay, so I've been thinking this through as much as I could, and I've decided it could be a nice idea to come up with an adventure where others participated aswell, in other words: create an adventure with others.
Feel free to discuss.
i kinda have done that idea........ https://eurospore.forumotion.com/forum-games-f28/life-of-a-creature-t433.htm?highlight=life
Re: Forum's Adventure - Sporecast and Adventure Acts Description in the OP
It's a bit different from what I meant actually. I've been thinking of all of us as a team putting together some story, races, events, etc and then an adventure about it.
Would require some dedication and time, ofc. And also the will to come up with something actually cool.
I don't mean to come up with a story like, you're a cow-lettuce and have to fight off the grox. I mean something really thought, like a planet, with a race, their religion, etc, etc, etc.
Edit: Awesome, Icedmask :-) Good to count with you!

hmm.... i like that idea might be hard though............ lets try!!
Re: Forum's Adventure - Sporecast and Adventure Acts Description in the OP
I like this idea, but it will be hard to choose a story for the adventure. People often get bored of looking at kill objectives, and some people don't have fighting skills on their captains. I learned that quite a while ago, and have been self-improving for months.
Re: Forum's Adventure - Sporecast and Adventure Acts Description in the OP
Good to have your feedback, everyone.
Lumorei, you're correct. Kill objectives can get boring and even annoying if people has a crappy captain. There's always the chance we can make a locked captain adventure and shape the hero at our liking. That's up to decide still.
Don't think the story will be hard to come up, we've got a great community here and people seem nice and motivated :-)
As for other objectives, in some of my past adventures I could make up some different objectives. For example, one of them was to tame a beast. It's like, some folks needed your help and one of the tasks was to tame one of the wild animals and bring it to the stable, so they'd have milk, food, leather, etc. So what you did was carry a food that animal liked and then give it to the animal. The animal would eat and on the next act follow you. You'd then escort it to the stable, where we'd use the AI to make the animal follow the stable on sight, meaning you could bring it to the stable having it on follow.
It's those sort of different funny objectives we can do. But first we're gona have to come up with a cool story and such. Even if all doesn't fit in an adventure, we can make more than 1 and then create a spore cast. We'd also have to decide still who'd upload it, etc. And creations made by all but well built ones, with help of others, etc.

Re: Forum's Adventure - Sporecast and Adventure Acts Description in the OP
Okay, I've been thinking about the story and it doesn't mean this will be the story. It will just work as a starting point. Feel free to comment, feedback, change aspects, afterall, this is our adventure.
So something like:
Beggining - 2 Possibilities:
1 - Your ship was shot down by unknown alien crafts and crashed in an uncharted planet. You're the only survivor.
2 - You are a prisoner being transported on a prison vessel, when unknown alien crafts shoot the ship, causing it to crash in an uncharted planet. You're the only survivor.
(So the main idea is you end up on the strange planet by accident, being the only survivor and stuck there.
Ok, after you start scouting around, finding wreckage of your craft, some ship logs for story lore, etc, perhaps even fight off some wild animals that got your scent and came to hunt you. Was thinking the planet to be a bit exotic like, but with our own style to it.
So after exploring, fighting off some predators, you start finding few temples and rustic houses, made of stone and hay and such, and find out they belong to some local natives. Most of the natives were taken to be used as slaves by another powerful alien race on the planet and the ones you encounter see you as their salvation. You read temple inscriptions, books, etc and find out this native race had a prophecy that dated millieniums ago, about a savior being cast down from the stars to free them from the deamons who enslaved them.
Little by little, you start realizing you are this savior and finally come across the "deamons" and they're some advanced alien race that came to this planet to explore its riches and forced the natives to work for them, being here for many centuries. Even though you're goal is just to get out of here to get back alive, you realize you're not gona be able to get out of here without aiding the natives. So you fight the deamon aliens, help them, etc.
Later, you come across a high native deserted temple. You find out it's the oldest of the native structures and nobody went there in eons. You step in and read the oldest book on this planet and realize that you are indeed the champion from the sky but your goal isn't to defeat the deamon aliens but to unleash a titan that has been stuck in the underground of this planet since the beggining of times. Freeing this titan, will be the doom of the alien forces on the planet.
So you've got to find a key, fight off some stuff, ride some stuff, etc. Then go to the gate of the underground, open it and let the titan come to this world. Ofc this quest is a harsh one, that's why the natives couldn't do it. The titan will serve the natives after freedom and that's what it ends up doing. The deamon aliens franetically try to defend themselves but either perish or escape.
You end up finding one of the alien crafts operationable and see this as the opportunity to escape this hell'ish planet.
(based in unreal)
So what do you guys think? I remind you, this isn't definitive. It can and is encouraged to be changed with your ideas.

I like the first ending. Adds more dialog and detail. Do you mind if I make teh props? Like the crashed spaceship?
Re: Forum's Adventure - Sporecast and Adventure Acts Description in the OP
What's the first ending you mean Lumorei? Not sure I got you right.
It's totally fine with me. I was thinking first, we all together could come up with a story and then divide tasks. But it's fine with me.
Also, not only the crashed ship would be at start, but wreckage around to scavenge and such.
Feel free to edit the story at your liking.

Re: Forum's Adventure - Sporecast and Adventure Acts Description in the OP
You have a great storyline already Arkanay. Personally i think this can be a bit too big for one adventure. Ive played some "Epic" adventures where the player tried to push the whole epic story into 8 acts. It rarely works.
Seriously, this could almost be a manuscript for an full length movie. We will have to work a lot on the acts to make this work, but i have some ideas:
Act 1 (Search Around): Your ship have crashed on the planet and you need to quickly defend yourself against predators in the area. The act ends when you find eventually find a small native village in the jungle.
Act 2 (The Natives): You try to ask the natives for help, but they keep talking about the daemons, and about the savior from the sky. They can help you, but they wont because they fear for the daemons.
Act 3 (The Temple): You leave the the natives with little information about the daemons ore the savior. On your way trough the landscape you will see some daemon ship and vehicle pass by, you will need to hide from them. Eventually, you find the ancient temple. In this temple you find all the information about the daemons, the savior and also the titan. You find also warnings about how the whole world may end if you unleash the titan.
Act 4 (City of Evil): You now understand what you have to do. The daemons will probably kill you if they find you, and the natives are too scared to help. You find (somehow) the location of the gate to the place where the titan is being held, the natives call it the underworld. To reach the gate, you will have travel trough a city full of daemons. The gate is located in the mountains behind the city.
Act 5 (Gates of the Underworld): When you reach the gate, you will need to do three logical tasks (one for each goal) When your done, the gate will open.
Act 6 (Unleashing the Titan): As the Titan unleashes, it will a huge inferno and all hell will be loose. Some daemon soldiers and tanks will appear and everything will be chaos. In the middle of all the chaos you find an still operationable alien vessel which you use to escape. My idea is to make this last act time based, so it adds some extra stress to the whole scenario.
Some of the acts mite have to be split up, so that's why i left two acts. This is just my proposal, im still open for new ideas^^

Excelent, Icedmask. And good to know, Vektrix ;-)
The only thing I'd like to have different from what you wrote, Iced, is: I'd prefer if they player found out about the titan a bit later in the game. So it can kinda build up a bigger storyline.
The most awesome thing to me, is the fact that you're there by accident and want to save yourself, but you end up being the hero represented in the native's prophecy for milleniums. Though, your goal is not to defeat the deamon aliens but to actually unleash the titan that will.
We'd also have to work in background stories for the native races, the deamon aliens, their slaves, etc.
really excited about this

Other thing, a thing I'd really like to have is when you're "inspecting/exploring" around, finding like, computer logs, diaries, writtings on the walls, etc, So you'd read stuff others said.
In example, when you're exploring the wreckage of your ship, you come a cross a piece of the bridge, where the first officer computer is there. You right click and see the log: "First Officer Gash'Athra of the Blue Nova. We've been seriously hit by unknown alien crafts. Ship systems are running at 24%. Impact on uncharted planet iminent."
Other example, you're having a look around temples and see some writtings on the walls (Either you understand the language or have some sort of universal translator with you): "And the champion who shall be cast down by the gods will purge the daemons that came from the stars"

Re: Forum's Adventure - Sporecast and Adventure Acts Description in the OP
Ah, hehe okay :-) I agree with you also. Gives a better atmosphere to the game.
So the player is a prisoner, that could be cool. What do people think?
Still, if we go foward with this, I'm in favour of not revealing the reasons of your imprisonment, so everyone can take their own conclusions why they were incarcerated.

I personally like the prison idea so much that I'm willing to create the main captain, other prisoners for scattered corpses, and the entire spaceship ripped in half.
Re: Forum's Adventure - Sporecast and Adventure Acts Description in the OP
That's pretty cool, Lumorei. I'm an adept of everyone but you being dead. Or better. Everyone you encounter is dead. But in the future, you come across some that were enslaved by the deamons, some survivors that wandered around before you "woke up".
What would people like to work on?
We'd have to work on wild-life, props, aliens, natives, their buildings and such.
