Lol, yup.

Like that time when we were doing HR peco and I shock trapped it and then the final blow was you with a perfectly timed GS upswing to the beak, which broke it. Sooo close.

I think some people just really get the way the GS works and others (like me!) really don't. I guess that can happen with any weapon type though.

I've found that luddys are easy to kill with the lance. Very Happy
I knocked off his tail and crest, but I couldn't get a tail from the rewards. :/
I'll try and get one when I capture him.

Haha, yes, I find lance extremley useful for any underwater creature. Lagi never stands a chance when I have ma Lance.

You didn't even get a tail from the tail carve? That sucks... I hate it when you get somthing lame, like Luddy Scale. Oh Thanks. I'll just put it with my other five million of them.

Ian plates are the same for me. We almost always knock her tail off, yet I never get plates or spike+ for that matter. The first few offline runs of los I got like 3 plates from tails and shinies. But I've only ever gotten 2 plates from ian and thats from high rank where they are supposed to 'rain down' on you. Yeah. /Rant Razz

Occasionally the game glitches too and you can get somthing completley unrelated, there was a video on youtube of someone randomly getting an Alatreon tail from a G.Jaggi! They weren't hacking either Laughing

Man, I wish I could get that glitch. :(

Yeah, I'll fight some more today. I find it's easier to beat them in the actual quest. I was trying to fight them in Moga Woods. :P

And it was deliciously ironic, as I beat the Luddy with a lance made with Ludroth parts. >:D

Irony at its best Razz That's like bashing a Gigginox to death with a giggi.

Its weird how knowing you can fail a quest Vs Moga's no fail limit makes you more competitive when fighting. In moga I don't really care, I let them hit me around loads. In proper quests I get super concious of how many times they hit me.

Yeah, because it will usually run off and I'll take forever to get back to the darned thing.
That lance shield saved me more than once. Like the giant leap that thing does.

I'm always unprepared for quests. >_< I usually forget to get my mega potions and I'll be a bunch of whetstones short.

Now that I know how to beat the Luddy, it's one of my favorites to fight.

Praise the Lance sheild! Especially when he is doing that 'yo gonna get carted!' move. Lance sheild is a saviour for monster combos too, especially if you can get the counter off in good time.

Im usually fairly well prepared, but Ive had my fair share of being unprepared. Example; I was playing with Shardna online doing a HR baggi. I'd just come from offline and forgot to restock, what's more I was in moga collecting stuff before hand.

Therefore not only did I lack whetstones, I also lacked hot drinks, potions and anything to eat. Im sure she must of been sitting there like 'WTF is wrong with her?' Laughing

Another epic fail was when me and Kevin were helping one of kevins friend with his alt. It was a collecting quest, but giggi showed up. We decided to kill it, but I'd previously set up for ian/los. Im slashing at this thing with a THUNDER element... an SnS at that. Im sure if it could have talked it would have said, 'hehe that tickles'

EDIT: Psst... Nice Avvy! Wink

Ahh, I wish the carves worked on where you were on the monster. That'd be cool, its always weird to get a claw when you are carving near the head. I think its also really wierd when you end up getting 5 or 6 qurupeco wings in one quest. Mutant peco!

Man I honestly miss playing with you guys. I did go online a few times but I didn't see either of you. Oh well perhaps some other time would be best. Finally bet that Rathlos after failing at it 5x. Now I have that hunt and capture uraagan mission left to do before taking on Cadeus. What's Uraagan's weakness and why does my hunter's body shine sometimes when I'm hit?

Hey Shard! Haven't seen you around for aaaaages. Kevins had alot of exams and I've been a bit busy but after the weekend I intend to get back on, I might even go on this sunday, if I get the chance.

Congrats on beating the Los! I remember the first time I did it, took me the whole time limit almost XD Hmm, uragaan... He's a funny one. He is most weak to water in most places, apart from the tail, which is most weak to dragon. His chin is resistant to almost everything so bombs are probably the way to go for breaking that.

And do you mean like little silver sparkles? It might be somthing to do with the armour set you have, if the skill has divine protection (or blessing cant remember which) it means you'll take less damage somtimes, the sparkles let you know. It could also be from a felyne food skill, which does the same thing. So its a good thing Smile

@Horm: good luck with the tails Very Happy

You could try doing tail runs. Get the tail off, carve it and make sure one of the sub quests is finished (I think cutting the tail is one anyway?) then exit and rinse repeat. Might be a quicker way, although getting all those body carves/rewards is probably more important.

Mwhhaha! Go forth and harvest its body for shiny fashion accessories... Mwhaha.

I'll try and get on, although I can't say what time. I might be a bit rusty too, considering its been a good 2 or 3 weeks since I last played. I will not forget my whetstones again though... Laughing

Barroths can be so annoying, I often find myself muttering 'WHY just WHY won't you die.' They seem to take more than they should...

Yeah I know, they just won't die! But a shield hog like me can solve that. >__>
I just hide behind the shield all the time and send out little attacks lol
I only really attack when it's on the ground or stunned.

That's the general idea with him I guess, or when you have the lance in general. Basicly if you get knocked over with the lance, you're doing it wrong. (Somthing I get wrong all the time XP )

Mind you, with the SnS I love fighting him, its like being a bull fighter, you have to spin around him and let him charge all the time, its so much fun.

I thought about getting one, but im way too comfy with the wii mote. Let us know if its any good or not Smile
