Yay! It's amazing what a closed MC server will do for your MH playing.

Hahah, yeah and there was that Razz

I went on in singleplayer for a bit yesterday as I was alot more rusty on the lance than I realised. Killed things in moga woods for a bit, then decided to do a rathian with Lance. 8.36 or somthing, so not the best time, but its a lot better than my SnS times.

I then did the Hunter Killer quest (or whatever it was) with my barioth lance (its not endgame upgraded yet) Killed the barroth in around 7 mins which I was happy about. Qurupeco showed up and I killed that in around 3 mins and the jaggi I did in about a minute. Overpowered weaponage FTW.

Have you managed to get them Horns yet?

You mean the Lagiacrus horns? I need one more for the Lagi sword, as well as another tail so I can upgrade my Spiral Lance.

Oh, also I went into the woods and fought a Great Jaggi with my fire LS. I actually bought it by accident when I was looking at the Thunderclap LS (which I also have now), but it's not bad, so I figured I might as well test it out. It was dead in 20 secs. XD

Did a couple offline Barioth bombing runs today. That was epic. Very Happy He was dead in less than 10 minutes, as I forgot my Thunderbugs for more traps. >__> I'm going for claws, because ironically he is less annoying to fight than Lagiacrus is. Lagiacrus...I need his tail and a horn, but Barioth is just easier for me.

lol, on the first one, I got 3 Amber Tusks. Barioth = Two tusks = Mutant Barioth D:

On SD.com, we had a discussion of Shepard, and we came to the conclusion he is secretly Baggi-man. Monster Hunter Tri Discussion - Page 18 Baggiman Razz

Also, would the Spiral Lance+ be good for Uragaan, or should I go for the super affinity Barioth lance?

@ Kevin: Aww, I am trying to get on later at night but usually the TV is taken. Wednesdays and Thursdays are good nights for me to be up late so I'll see if I can grab the TV and hunt some monsters with you then Very Happy

@ SJ:

Lol! Baggiman Laughing This is why he is so scared of fighting them! Also nice Baggiman sig Wink

Also, yeah I find Barioth loads easier to fight than Lagi and a whole lot more fun too. I think it's the whole water thing that annoys me. Also, I love when you get more of a part than you are supposed to. Like in high rank you can get Qurupeco wings. I carved 3 once... which is wierd enough but then got 2 more in rewards. Can you imagine that abomination?

Erm, lances. If it were SnS I could probably remember which had higher attack, but its not.

I know Gaan is weak to water apart from his tail, but I don't know if the very small multiplier you get from that would outweigh the affinity with the barrioth lance, not to mention it has a pretty decent attack. I am going to say go for the barioth lance but mainly because I rarely used the spiral lance. :/ Wow, that was helpful.

Unfortunately this makes for a lot of Barioth claw farming. 2 to upgrade the Icicle Spike, 3 to make the Tusk Lance, and then more Barioth parts to upgrade it. That, and I need THREE Barioth tails for my sleep lance.

I'm going to be fighting him a lot... D:

Yeah but its worth it Razz

I feel for you on the tails though D: He don't stop moving hardly ever to get a clean hit on the tail I've only ever managed to get it off around six or so times in the 20+ I've so far killed. Maybe I just suck Laughing

Honestly though, the ice weapons are some of the best in game IMHO anyway. I ignored them largely untill now and wish I hadn't!

Yeah, they all look awesome, too. The plain old Icicle Spike leaves much to be desired attack-wise, but the upgraded versions rock.

Got my first rathalos plate today. ILoveItPlz
Did the quest 'The Omen' with my Lagia sword. First try, got a Rathalos plate. My set is complete!

Oh lol, and I got the last Lagi tail I needed. I ran into the woods to gather honey or something, and asked cha-cha where lagi was. Area 9, which is land! Very Happy So I went over there with NO items except whetstones, chopped off it's tail, carved a tail from it, and ran. XD I basically mugged the poor Lagi for his parts Laughing

EDIT: HR 30. It's Jhen time! >:3 I just need to do one of the cap quests and then I can do the Jhen one.

Yush.

Although you can collect parts pretty quickly so the powered up weaponary kinda helps level that out. The challenge with High Rank is the fact that your armour is subpar untill you can upgrade and they hit alot harder.

Also, Gold crowns. They have, I think its somthing like 25% more health. Example, Kevin is ace at rathian slaying. Me and him set out on a HR rathian and it was huuuuge. We both died, and when you have Kevin with you, that's saying somthing XD

Plus you get a whole different set of monsters showing up, so rather than peco, expect Blos to crash the party. Or worse. But that's when it gets fun.

I can't wait to dodge Jho all the time.
and I'm going to eat Meat+grain from now on, since I can't steal Rations from the box.
That was weird, we were on a HR Peco quest and I started in the ocean haha.

@Kevin: You're welcome Razz

@SJ: You know, apart from Jho and I think Barioth, Jaggi is the only Gold Crown record I don't have. Frustrating considering I've killed litterally hundreds.

Meat and Grain FTW! That was my staple when I started HR because man does landing in the ocean when you have to be on the other side of the map suck. Occasionally go for Meat+Drink, but only if its somthing like Jhen or somthing easy and non energy consuming, like Gobul.

Dodging Jho during his haters gonna hate is the best. Half the issue with jho is that move and the fact his feet are so hard to dodge. After I've upgraded my bari lance, imma go and do that HR31+ jho quests. Probably fail, but it'll be funny.

Aww, gotta love them small monsters.

I know I've already told you SJ but I wanted to post here again Razz

The other day I waited around for ages to try and get someone to do HR Bari with me. In the end I got bored and Solo'd it. It was horrible. I died twice and Giggi showed up too. I didn't even manage to catch it so I had to kill it.

In short, whoo I solo'd bari but meh, no claw+ still stuck in the same old boat I was in before. And its now telling me, I am not eligible for the next hunter rank -_- So I should be 51 now. If it weren't for those damn claws. /rant Razz

If I had a facebook I'd totally be stalking right now. But I don't so I'll just stick to the Podcasts.

And ahaha Baggi Man, it was only a matter of time.

Well, the other day I went on and some arena mode. Well one arena mode.

For the first time ever I beat Barroth in arena... God I hate that thing in the arena mode XD Also, suprisingly I used a BG :O

Blam, sleep shot, sleep bomb. Water shots, pitfall and normal S Lvl 2 then wyvernfire. Finally more pellet and normal S. He went down in about 10 mins, which Im happy with. I only died twice too Laughing

I still hate him in arena though.
