Terraria
The way I would describe Terraria is a 2-D Minecraft but with NPC shopkeepers, lots more weapons, more enemies and other cool stuff. You can play by yourself or with your friend/s! I don't believe they have skins like minecraft but you can customize your character before you start.
I'm sure fans of Minecraft may love this game.

Ahh, I saw a little video of this a while back. Reminds me a little of Zelda with the graphic style, but with a huge influence from minecraft. Not really sure what the objective is though!
What platform is it on? Computer? Looked like it should be on DS or somthing.
Oh, I registered

Re: Terraria
2-D Minecraft? It's the same genre (world adventure builder), but it's way different in so many ways. So many ways. In fact... I think it's better than Minecraft. It really looks better. There are no skins, but you can customize quite well.
Also, you cannot win it. You just get all you can, sorta like Minecraft; except you can do many more things.
@Red
It's on PC... only on steam. For £5.99/$9.99. It's not really influenced by Minecraft, it's just got the same genre and idea to it. Little is influenced.

The game looks interesting though, I'll have a look at some of the videos of it's gameplay.

[Propermod] Please don't minimod [/Propermod]
And LoD, edit button, unless its to bump it for some important reason
Anyways, £5.99 seems like a great price. It looked more like it should be on the DS though XD might look into buying it. I love world builders, the customising looks good too.
EDIT: oh yeah, meant to ask, hows your registration count going for the game LoD?

Re: Terraria
Someone already got 25 referals so I edited it out. It felt like I was begging lol and I felt a new post should be made for what I wanted to say since it would be random in my last post.

People need to get this so me and LoD can play multiplayer It won't let either of us host a server :/
Re: Terraria
I'm tempted to get it but the price puts me off a little.

I wasn't having a go. It's just somtimes things like that, when aimed at the wrong people, can cause arguments. I know LoD would take it in good part but its best to discourage people generally from minimodding I didn't mean to cause you offence and I certainly wasnt being super stressy about it, Im really not that grumpy!
@LoD: Oh... okay Well now I've got spam in my inbox for nothing
and fair point on the post thing, personally I would have edited it. Whatever though, its your topic
---
You can make servers for this too? That's pretty cool, although I think my laptop would explode if I tried hosting a server!
I was watching some vids on this, it really does remind me of a more RPG based minecraft, mainly because of the enemies like slimes, skeleton archers and so on. It seems to have tonnes more content though and perhaps some sort of storyline along the way? Guess I'll have to play it to prove myself wrong ^^
Either way, I think this game will be pretty big, maybe not as big as other certain indie games but I think itll gain popularity fairly quickly.

Why is that? It's a brilliant game.

500,000 people bought it within the first hour of release. Note that there was no advertising for it or anything to promote it before other than Yogscast's few videos.

Re: Terraria
If you do decide to buy the game, be prepared to sacrifice large amounts of time... hours fly by like minutes when you're playing.
Re: Terraria
I just watched the trailer for this.
If I didn't have to balance Minecraft, foruming and everything else I would totally get it.

Nah, prefer playing with my buddy.
btw, I am BLOODY close to getting molten stuff. Really close. All I need to do now is go to hell, I have Cobalt Shield (Prevents knockback), I have real good armour, Nightmare Weapons, Orb of Light, a Magic spell (Magic Missile) so yeh. It's just those darn imps, they're really annoying.
I also beat Skeletron, he's really overpowered. I really want a minigun, in total I have like 40 gold coins right now, me and my buddy's combined. He has a minishark (the minigun), and it costs 50 gold. It is really worth it from what I've seen.

The Yogscast possess more power than one might normally think of.
