I wasn't able to record "Hurt" unfortunately, but while playing I struck some nice chords and made this piece (a mantra):

Also, I'm quite disappointed at the outcome of this, it's far too loud for a mantra.

So as a budding martial artist that is a second-degree Black Belt, you'd think I'd be pretty formidable.

Not so, says my Maine Coon, who runs through the living room, sweeps my feet out from under me, and knocks me straight on my arse.

Rufus makes me feel like such a noob sometimes.

@Des, not a story to tell your pupils if you ever open a dojo.

@Rebecca: Does he feel you are underweight?

=======================================================

This morning as I was getting dressed I went to put on my favorite shirt, which has a koala on the front.

I put it on, and look at the front.... holes all over it. Apparently at some point butters must have gotten a hold of it and chewed it to death.

He doesn't have discriminating taste, although he will only eat things that either someone else has eaten, or is of some value to me.

Oohh yes he does. A friends of ours also thinks I'm skinny, and he's not even met me in person yet.

Last time I weighted and measured myself, I did show up as healthy, but closer to Underweight than to the "center-region" for Healthy... if that makes any sense. However this was a few years ago. I've yet to see where my BMI is now.

I thought BMI's are only truly accurate for over 18's?

Anyway, I received my report today, and all's good. Everything is predicted either an A or A*.

Also, I had a bleep test today. I got 12.11 Very Happy

Yes, BMI is technically only accurate for over-18s. Not to mention it is a poor measurement of whether you are the right weight - the best measurement is Waist-to-Hip ratio.

And that is very good, Trick. Both the bleep test and the grades. Smile

All BMI is good for is giving a vague idea of where you lie - but there are a lot of grey areas and really it should only be used in combination with other measurements.

I saw it was mainly a 18 thing, but like Thomas said, it's good for giving a vague idea.

In other news, I posted this on Facebook for my friends;
This is so random to put on Facebook .... Someone name an animal/insect/dinosaur/something. First 3-5 suggested, I'll draw a hybrid of it and dedicate the MAGNIFICANTS to them. Goplz.
This was the response I got;

  • Platypus
  • Star-nosed mole
  • Proboscis Monkey
  • Seapig
  • Neotenic Mole Salamander

I actually hate my friends ಠ_ಠ

EDIT: Current progress.... Shocked

The platypus itself is proof, God was drinking while he was creating. Facepalm

On the BMI, I find a better way to determine a healthy weight is to check whether you go past the amount of centimeters on the meter of your height minus ~5. Meaning, that if you're 1,75m tall, your ideal weight is around 70kg.

I'm 1,87m tall, which means I can weigh about 80kg, which is still a few kilograms more than I have right now.

Yeah but the only problem with Ideal weights and BMIs is that it doesn't take into account body type. e.g Thin, medium build, big build.

For instance, It is probably is rather impossible for me to be super thin as my I have rather broad shoulders, so BMIs and idea weight things don't work for me.

Also it doesn't take into account for muscle. You might be a bit more muscly than chunky but still be overweight when it comes to ideal weight.

This chart might help give you the best understanding of where you are in terms of healthy weight as it takes into account both height and general body type.

And lol have fun drawing those creatures Rebecca Razz

Went to the gym this morning with a friend. We want to do some sit up exercises so we went to the big room with mats and whatnot.

There was one guy in there blasting techno music doing some sort of dance exercise. He was dancing like the penguin from "happy feet" and he looked really happy as well.

Wish I could be that happy and dance like no body is watching.

I just got a pair of Tritton Gaming Headphones w/ mic.

The sound quality is....above average to say the least O.O £44 and they make my Senheisers sound pretty bad.....they rival my speakers for bass, and they have an awesome treble balance.

I love em Very Happy

And there we have it...Canada's government has been toppled by losing a no-confidence vote. Now the Prime Minister will have to ask the Governor-General to dissolve Parliament and call a new election - Canada's fourth in 7 years.

In other news, I find the resignation of Portugal's Prime Minister as a last laugh - "Fine. If you won't pass the budget, not my problem anymore. You deal with the crisis. I resign. Have a nice day."

That's one of the biggest problems in Portugal. Current government has to deal with crap others left behind and the populace gets mad at the current ones in charge.
But this is a vicious circle. The ones in charge will also do something stupid that will be the problem of future generations.
This revolves around a mentality almost similar to what happened in Ireland - People thinking about what's best for them instead of what's best for everyone.
