It's a shame that Jose Socrates' political opponents simply blocked the budget out of spite, rather than passing the urgently needed policy to save the country. But now they're going to have to pay for their poor decision.

Earlier tonight, I had to rescue a poor mouse from my cat's playful clutches. Its hind legs were already quite damaged but I couldn't bear taking it out of its misery like that, so I grabbed a humane mouse trap and set it back out into the bushes.

I just hope it could find some peace after all.

Thats sad Andy Unfortunately my Cat is the equivalent of the Grip Reaper. I can count the number of dead birds and mice she has brought in as offerings.

I remember when we used to live in the blue mountains, one of the neighbors left a message on our letter box saying that our cat would cause the extinction of the birds in the area.. She killed one every couple days or so, but i hardly think she would bring about the doom of all bird life.

Speaking of cat, its a very cold morning here and I don't have socks on, but luckily for my my cat decided to use my feet as a wall to sleep on... and my feet are nice and toasty.

It's buried in our backyard, because we live where my grandparents used to live.

believe me possum, you'll find school work only gets longer. Last year in Uni. 15 page assignment. This term for anatomy, I basically have to write a book on human body structure.

@Sjhorm, man thats an old kitty. A cat can only live that long by being well taken care of and shown a lot of love.

5 paragraphs? I could write that in 10 minutes... Like Remi said, wait 'til you get into higher education...

5 paragraphs is not an essay.

Longer academic essays (often with a word limit of between 2,000 and 5,000 words)

And 5 paragraphs is not a 'short piece of writing'; it is not enough to really get anything across with supporting evidence and actual development.

That depends on the paragraph size and content, as well as the person writing them. I have seen essays shorter than five paragraphs able to get the point across.

He is also not in academic level, so less is expected from his work than what would be expected in higher education services.

Hey everyone I hope your day is fantastic from where you are! I thought I let everyone know that today is Earth Hour Day where everyone has to turn off their electricity for an hour to show care for our planet. It will commence at 8:30 pm until 9:30pm. On that happy note, have a great day!

5 paragraphs is enough for an intro/question, 3 bodies with supporting evidence, and a conclusion.

Gee, that sounds like an essay to me.

The earliest experience I have of essays were 10 paragraphs - Intro, 4 paragraphs of evidence which was then explained with another 4 paragraphs and then conclusion.

Those were the shortest I have ever done. Thus, from my experience, 5 paragraphs is not an essay.

Well, today has not improved my overall view of the intelligence of most people in D.C.

I was in the metro system, and was running a little faster than I should have to get to a train before it leaves. Well, I barrel into some guy in a suit. As we both get up. He begins SCREAMING at me, saying that how "Short sighted I was" And "Uncivilized" He eventually ends this by saying "Your parents should have taught you better"

For those who don't know, my Family isn't it the best condition as of now. And at this point, I'm REALLY getting worked up. I calmly explain that my parents haven't really had the chance to raise me "Properly" and I'm sorry if I caused any damage. The Guy then begins yelling at me again, saying that I was "Arrogant and annoying" and that I'm "Going to make him late" He then storms off, swearing.

This guy basically managed to annoy me more than some of the idiots in my school ever have, but on the bright side, he missed his train

Hmm... That type of people, who just like to rant, although it will lead them nowhere, qualify quite well to be ignored, starwars.

Stupid time change. I overslept and feel ill, and am waayy too late to go out now ;__;

The time change took me by surprise too. I had forgotten about it.

Gladly it was only Sunday morning.

Yeah. If it were Monday, I'd be both annoyed and happy I set it back an hour instead of forward, so I was two hours late to go out. Had it been tomorrow, I'd have completely missed my first and only lesson.

Though it could have been revenge for when four of us showed up for lesson on Friday, only to find out it was canceled T___T

Going to a place called Cholet for a week, with the school. Should be good.

I absoluetly forgot about the whole set time to an hour forward thing today. It was a good thing I asked someone for the correct time. ^^'
