Duke Nukem Forever

It's time to kick ass and chew bubble gum... and I'm all outta gum.


Looks like the Duke's back in the newest game Duke Nukem Forever. Took them some years, but they finally managed to deliver it.

From what I've seen of it, it looks like a quite comical (stupid humour, which sometimes is all right) and cool action game, that doesn't take itself too seriously. I haven't acquired it, but am definitely considering it, as I'm sure most Duke Nukem fans out there are. ^^

Right now, I find DK Forever slightly overpriced for my taste, as it is probably a game without much of a replay factor, unlike RPGs, for instance. I've also seen one or two reviews more pending towards the negative side. Still, it seems like something fun worth having.

While I do intend at some point to get Duke Nukem Forever, its not at the top of my list.

It does look like fun and while I don't care that the graphics aren't mind blowing, my gut feeling is that the gameplay might be a bit stale and there doesn't appear to be anything that innovative in it. Not sure what it is exactly.

Still if anyone buys it, I'd like to hear what they think of it. I some what listen to reviews form websites and whatnot, but sometimes proper game reviewers can mark a decent game rather harshly for somewhat trivial things. Some games I have enjoyed in past have gotten rather bad ratings by reviewers.

The graphics are actually more than I could hope for. They work perfectly fine for me. Then again, I'm not one who praises graphics much if the game is cool. I also don't think there's anything new in it, gameplay wise.

The main things about the game is the silly Duke Nukem atmosphere and lots of action.
With the typical weapons, like reducing pig cops to mini pig cops and smashing them with your boot.

Yeah, I've seen several reviews that say it's not as good as the old stuff, but it still seems cool to me.

The game is not exactly mind blowing. Its just filled with lots of comical material.


I love it.

I'll probably end up getting it once I'm in my break. Been watching videos of it and it looks fun. A shooter game that doesn't take itself seriously, which is the kind of game I like.

Been seeing more reviews of it though. Hard to find a positive one about it. Saw one from destructoid that only gave it a 2/10 and said it was a "miserable lifeless, grotesque little game". Ouch

I believe it's getting a lot of negative reviews because I think people were expecting much more of it. It does seem like a decent game, although I agree nothing too epic. Perhaps the long wait created false hopes within gamers.

It still looks fun to me, though.
