It's a shame
Well this is my first visit back here in over 2 years. It stinks everybody's gone :(You all probably forgot about me didn't ya? Blazeer (or Blaze) is still here! Just not on Eurospore. Or creating anymore...or commenting anymore...just too busy
Anyways, if anbyody is still around, hopefully this may come alive again someday. Just wanted to stop by and say hello to whoever sees

Re: It's a shame
Hey Blaze, nice to hear from you
I suppose that's just the way things tend to go unfortunately, particularly with smaller internet communities. After spore effectively died, it was difficult to sustain activity and eventually more and more people became less active.
It's not an issue for larger forums since a few users going inactive doesn't affect the community greatly, but with smaller ones like ours, when a few become inactive it brings down the activity of the forum as a whole, which causes more users to become less activity, causing a cascade.
Still I'm proud how long we managed to go before Eurospore became inactive. We lasted much longer than most forums would of comparable size. We were a very close-knit group And I agree it would be nice to see a resurgence here. I love to know how everybody has been doing and what they're up to these days.

Re: It's a shame
Just looking at the ages on the sidebar, it's striking how long we've all known each other. Remi's 22, Blaze is 17.
Damn, where did the time go?

Re: It's a shame
Hey Blaze, I remember you!
It's been a year, at least, since I last visited. Maybe two since I logged in... but I saw this post and just wanted to say hi!
I loved being in this community, making stories with you guys, creating images and smileys for the forum, etc..
And a shoutout to Rebecca, wherever you are - I remember liking our conversations together a lot.
Hope all is well with everyone. Don't expect to see me around here again for a long time... the forum doesn't draw me in as much anymore. But like I said, it was a blast a few years back. Good memories.

I think it's been about 4 years for me but I still remember many of you guys (I was mostly on EAUK though). Just downloading spore again actually, it'll probably be quite the nostalgic experience.

SPORE man, Icarusvogel! Hey dude!!
I still have all the stories I wrote with others on EAUK. Would you happen to know where Ghelae went?

Re: It's a shame
(Sorry for the delayed reply...)
I'm afraid not. I never had any contact with Ghelae except on EAUK. I kept up with a few EAUK members (mostly ET8000 and Froststar/Frostmoon) for a couple years after I left the forum - we had our own little forumotion forum, but we've went our seperate ways since then.
So I played a lot of Spore during the last few weeks, but it doesn't really appeal to me anymore. I don't have any motivation to put effort into the editors and the gameplay itself isn't challenging. Only the civilisation stage on hard is still a little fun and there are a lot better RTS games out there.
