I never actually played Half life 2, though I did buy it. I bought it for pc and from what I remember it was something like 5 or six discs. I got through installing 3 of the discs and there was an error on the fourth, so I never got to play it and I was at the age I didn't realise that I could have simply taken it back to the store and gotten a new copy.

Ok, while I've never played Half-life, here's some things I do know from playing Portal 2.

Firstly, the only letter in GLaDOS that's not capitalized is the a.

Secondly, while you are playing Portal 2, a pre-recorded message from Cave Johnson (basically the boss of Aperture Science) claims that Black Mesa has been stealing Aperture Science's technology. Of course, Cave Johnson ended up going crazy, so this might not have actually been true.

Well... they DO have a gravity gun which is a more advanced version of the ASHPD lifting mechanism.

Well, considering the most notable achievements of Black Mesa (actual portals that can be used for transportation and the gravity gun), even if they did steal Aperture's ideas they still improved greatly on them.

Also, a running joke with the Valve fans is that every time a fat joke is made about Gabe Newell (Gaben ) Episode 3/Half life 3 is delayed. And with the way the internet is.... it's safe to say even reverse Valve Time will not save the release.

Lol NGin - never heard that one! xD if you play the ending of half life 2 in kleiners lab, theres a picture of all the lead scientiest from Black Mesa. One of the tallest scientists' head is removed and crossed out. In front of him is a little fat scientist lady.

In (i remember it to be portal 2) is a picture of a tall bearded man, and a little fat scientist lady (idk if its the same lady) in front of the borealis.
The bearded man is looking almost 100% the same as Ratman from the Portal 2 comic - could it be the same?

Is the Black Mesa - Aperture connection this bearded man? And most importantly - why is there a picture of him standing in front of the borealis, when the scematics of the ship has GLaDOS written all over?

Know anywhere where I can find a pic of the bearded guy? Can't remember seeing such a guy in Portal 2. Also, there is a portal 2 secret which shows a ship. Presumably the Borealis? But isn't Portal 2 set waaaaaaaaay in the future? By that time the events of Half Life 2 EP3/Half Life 3 should be over. We'll just have to wait and see.

Yeah the ship IS the Borealis! there's a safty ring next to the door with a big white text saying: BOREALIS ! - and the achievement is called "missing experiment".
In the end of episode 2, Dr. kleiner sais that the Borealis just some day disaperared from its dry dock 3 kilometers beneath the surface of earth! (he doesn't say that, but that's where the dry dock is in Portal 2)
Also I bellive Portal is somewhere in the time of HL2 (maybe even before). in one of the first testchambers GLaDOS sais its soon "bring your daughter to work day" - but that makes no sence what so ever, since the whole facility at that point is totally empty O.o' - still havent figured that out yet, but bring your daughter to work day is shown in Portal 2, maybe our famous testsubject is one of those daughters??? - yeah it's all a conspiracy!^^

hmm idk where to find those photos, I'll do some checkin, or even better - take some screenshots and display them here in one of the following days!

Maybe each fat joke makes him fatter which delays the episode because he has to do exercise. Though the idea of him getting fatter is not very possible.
