3D Television
Have you guys had the chance to try out one of them fancy 3D television sets yet?
I did a few weeks ago when I was at a big media store. It wasn't very comfy to wear those glasses over my prescription glasses despite them saying it shouldn't be a bother and the price tag alone made me gulp for a second.

Never tried 3D television system.
But did in the cinema.
At first was very exciting, since it was new and you'd be there in the action.
But now I think differently. It's mostly annoying and nothing special to me.
I'd rather watch it 2D :-P

I've tried one at a store which didn't work Yeah, the price tags are hefty on those things. I'd rather watch normal TV on OLED. And still, I don't really watch TV that much anyway, and it's what you watch that counts. Now how you watch it

When I was in Denmark, I was at an entertainment type place, like with rollercoasters and such.
And towards the end there was a house where you could watch a 4D cinema.
We were all excited so we went there.
But there was a warning saying it was broken and could only be 3D

Re: 3D Television
They are really expensive right? Like, 2000 euros or something?
And I heard the 3-D can make your eyesight worse. ._.
Meh, not really worth it in my opinion.

3D's overrated IMO.
All it is is 2D but with stuff that looks 3D.
4D is slightly more interesting.
But 5D would be amazing.

3D TV's a re a rip off. A lot of money for very little, in reality.

5D would be very costly to have in your own home.

I believe 4D means feeling the movie.

It includes other 'real life' effects such as wind blowing at your face when e.g. there's an explosion.

@Thomas: 4D adds physical effects, like Honey I shrunk the Audience and the new Captain EO at Disneyland.
According to urban myth (and a "source" of mine), we already have advanced holographic technology. They just milk the 3D tech for another few years to make some pocket money on the way.

That's impossible. Unless they start using Virtual Reality.
@Ark: What do you mean, 'physical effects'?

And then Star Wars fangirls will be re enacting 'Obi Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope' all over the place.

I believe you meant Andeavor
But as someone already said, feeling the wind, for example.
That's what I understand it is, at least.

Ah, like fans blowing a breeze over the audience?
If that is it, then I don't know what the hype about it is.

Re: 3D Television
First, I'm Andy, not Ark.
Physical effects are moving seats, wind blowing in your face, smells, smoke, temperature, etc. etc.
This usually requires a cinema with built-in effects, which currently are reserved to theme parks and a few entertainment places.

We have those in Portugal.
You usually enter one and when you exit it's 2 hours later

I mean, during the movie, you move through different timelines.
It's impossible, but it would be interesting.

Seems like a waste of time to me.
Holograms will be here in 20 years, fear not.
