The Spore 100

Yep, hopefully soon, we´ll start tossing some names for the list, whenever Vektrix is prepared

We´ll come up with a bunch of names and then use the rating system we came up with to find their places.

This will very likely be a tiresome task, but since everyone´s very attentive, I think things will go well.

If somebody made a spreadsheet, listed the nominations accordingly and uploaded it to Google docs it could help others with keeping track, too.

I can do a spreadsheet and stuff, and it is nice to see lots of people willing to help on this project.

I agree on grouping the vehicle and spaceship editors together.

I am now forumlating the scoring process.

The issue now is how many and who gets to "mark" each creator. I have decided to go with a 7-person team of judges.

There are three contributors to this thread I would like on the panel who have not definitely put themselves forward (as far as I can tell) yet, those being Becks, Saki and Andy, whom I'd like to ask to be part of the panel, so if you guys can confirm whether you want to or not.

Can I just say that this is seriously going getting sorted nicely, I will soon be creating a dedicated area on EuroSpore for this project so we can be more precise, accurate and allow more threads.

I was thinking of making a main list, but it will be managed in such a way, that each type of creator can be collated into their own lists.

I have created "The Spore 100" project area, however, at the moment I am only leaving it open to the panel. It may, at a later date be opened up to the entire community.

I wonder how this will pan out?
The biggest risk is forgetting to judge some creators...

Any ideas for the nomination process?

An idea occurred to me yesterday, regarding this matter.
We have the seven judges: Judge A, Judge B, Judge C, D, E, F, G.

Judge A comes up with a list of maximum 10 nominations (by alphabetic order), and then PM´s that list to Judge B. Judge B fills in the list with a maximum of 10 other nomations (Different people, ofc) and PM´s it to Judge C. This continues until the last Judge, which will then PM the list to Vektrix. Vektrix fills in whoever he finds fit. (If we are doing by categories, then perhaps the Judge who makes nominations can write in front of a person´s nickname the category that person will be judged in?) Then the list of nominations (which can surpass 100 nominations, no problem) can be posted on the thread.

Step 2 would be having an overall look over to list, to see if all agree, if anyone wants to add someone else, etc. Then we´d place people in categories, if that was the case, and we´d start rating everyone, putting on the last list the top 100 we´d find.

Right, the judging panel is complete, the scoring system is almost finalised and I have already created a spreadsheet that can deal with it and adapt if necessary.

We are open to nominations, bare in mind, many creators have already been added to the list for "judging".

You´re going to have to wait quite some time. Things are moving quite smoothly, but it just takes a lot of work.

Good to see that Kai was on the list, he often gets overlooked...

Could you perhaps post the list you got so far, so that there won't be any double, triple etc nominations. I got a lot of names, but most will probably already be on the list...

We have divided the list into 4 smaller lists, by alphabetic order, so it´s easier to judge.

But I will transport them to this thread´s OP. Check back in a few mins.

Could i put forward a case to be a judge or am i too late?
After all i don't think you've got a vehicle specialist on the panel yet...

OP has been updated with current nominations list.

Bmp, unfortunatly, the judge panel has been completed.
But it´s up to Vektrix to decide if he´ll open more judging spots or not.
