Semantics: Urs left after GA was out

All sounds good, but WHO is gonna be the judges, and how can the judges make sensible decisions about themselves. I am pretty certain that all the entire EuroSpore moderation Team would make the final list (or at least be considered for the list)

And isn't unfair fopr creators who are unsurpassed in one creator (i.e. getting a 10) and then considered awful in another editor (getting a 1,2 or 3), there average would put them as a very average creator, even though they are considered the best of the best in a certain editor? DiabloDog has no buildings, spaceships or vehicles in her sporedpedia either (for example).

Then they would simply be average creators, Vek. Not much we can do about that.

If people don´t have creations from a certain editor, I think we should not rate that criteria. But we can put a note next to their name saying what wasn´t rated. so others may know.



We can also be strict and give zero in criterias where people have no creations. For example, ppl without GA would be rated zero in adventures, instead of N/A and that would be negative for their score. Only if we consider the Top 100 to be masters of all editors and such, this should be applied.

Maybe its better to make 4 lists and not only one,
because you CAN'T be the best in everything and the problem with
GA wouldn't be there, too ...

So what I mean is to make 4 lists (Creature, Building, Vehicle, Adventure)

Every list would have 25 spots (100/4=25)

For example:

Creature:
1. Creativity
2. Style & Design
3. how many themes is the person good at (not only Warriors for example)
4. Reputation
5. Dedication & Help to Community
6. Attitude and Personality

Buidling:
1. Creativity
2. Style & Design
3. how many themes is the person good at (not only Warriors for example)
4. Reputation
5. Dedication & Help to Community
6. Attitude and Personality

I think that would be better, because its stupid to value people like andevor in all editors ...
Like I said its not possible to be the best in ALL editors, I think it should be enough honour to be the best in his own specific editor ...
And if someone is even really good in other editors, too, it should be possible to get him in more then one list ..

Example:

DonaldDuck

Creature:
1. Creativity - 7
2. Style & Design - 8
3. how many themes is the person good at (not only Warriors for example) - 5
4. Reputation - 9
5. Dedication & Help to Community - 6

You see? The Social skills would still be the same, only the skills in the editors would change ..

Btw, you can be the best on all editors, it´s just a very, very hard task



If we are to consider the best 100 Spore players overall, we should value in all aspects. If we only want to enhance users in different editors, like werder suggested, then his idea sounds plausible.


Regarding judges, I´m not entirely sure how this would work. If it was the top 100 according to EUrospore, then I think the mod team should do well in judging, perhaps with some assistance from other members aswell.

I have a simpl idea for judging, too

It would be best to have 6 judges for example ...

Judge 1
Judge 2
Judge 3
Judge 4
Judge 5
Judge 6

So if they have to value the skills of judge 5, it wouldn't be a problem to put him out for this round ..

Yep, I thought about it too. If a judge was being rated, only the other judges would take part in it.

But who will be the judges? Maybe we´ll see who would like to be a judge and then open up a vote to select 5 or so ?

Edit: We should also put a date of when we rated someone. Because that person the following day might make a creation that could boost him up the list, or even bring him way down.

I don't want to sound arrogant, but I think I'm good at judging ..
So would I would join if the others want so.
and I think a poll could end in a popularity war


But I even have a better Idea:

I would ask People like Andeavor, because he is 30 years old (right?)
And should have some life experience ..

But spore is not full of people over 28 years, so I would look for people over 20 years ...

I'd recommend collecting Spore Veterans to do the judging, as they'd most likely have the most experience, remember all the older creators, see most of the styles and designs that have been introduced to Spore, and can develop a higher level of criticism and opinion than younger/newer creators.

And obviously is going to take a good ammount of days to carefully observe and select the top 100.

Perhaps if people started throwing ideas for creators, we could start writing down the candidates for the list?

We could also add the specialty in front of that person´s nickname.

Still, the benefit vektrix has is that he now knows people who will enjoy being a judge. It gets a little emarassing when you pick someone who clearly doesn't like the idea, for them to shove it in your face. So, I don't know, a little good can come from selfish desires.

Those of you who watch Top Gear should know about remarks about the Stig. Maybe we should do the same with Vektrix

I think we should look at GA as a separate category, since not everyone makes an adventure. Plus we can already weed out certain creators by their amount of creations in an editor or what they are famous for.

I really like the calculation Arkanay came up with and think we should leave GA for the separate election.

Yeah, it is an idea I shared with kyle ages ago (so he may not remember me mentioning it).

Yeah, seems a lot of ideas here about how to do it. I think we need a solid base of judges, and they should be from various part sof the world as well.

Some say he invented the taco, and that on weekends, he sleeps like a cat. All we know is, that he is called... Vektrix.

I heard something about G3NJI not ever making adventures. Someone isn't a true G3NJI fan. *looks at rebecca*

Nethellus should be on this list. He is a god at adventures and his creatures are very unique.
