Future Plans

Many of us here on the Eurospore Forum are young people; young people do usually have dreams and maybe plans for the future.

So tell me, what is your future plans? What do you want to do, as you get older? :]

I am taking life as it comes, as far as i am concerned i have no future.

Like Shadow I'm taking life as it is. I would like to write a novel series but I think you need something for that. As for the future I am uncertain.

Right now my only intent is to enjoy life for as long as I can, other than getting ready for college. I have no idea on what I'm going to do.

Do well in college, get a car and move out.

In the further away future... a job in art? Game designer?

Well i'm like 1/6 of the Way through my Higher Apprentiship at the moment. I'm being offered to do an MCP in the second year after I've done my Business & Administration NVQ Level 2 and 3 and to do my Technical Certificate level 2 at the same time. By then, I'll be classed as a Fully fledged IT Technician in about 2 years time and add another year and I'll be promoted to a Network administrator. So it's great to have a well-paid job at 16 years of age (I could literally afford to rent a 3 bedroom semi-detached house and still have about 2/5 of my wage left over after tax to live off at this current rate of wage).

After my Apprentiship (Hopefully but very likely that they will keep me on), i will probably move onto A-Levels or other NVQ Level 3's and probably save some money up and study Cybernetics in the distant future.

Also, I start my Driving lessons in January and hopefully pass and get a car by Easter

I just want to zoom through high school, and collect as much information I can with media applications (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, C4D).

Then, I'm gonna join a media/computer based college maybe, and become a graphic artist, animator or game designer.

Lots of arts/media centred people here, it seems.

And if it helps i'm currently studying psychology at A2 level

Then tell us why, Ben, the concentrations of art and media orientated people is higher on this forum.

I'm expecting multiple explanations.

Spore involves creativity there fore people with creative minds are attracted to the game.
Or the alternative is that this forum has many outlets for creativity, this gives people the confidence to share and explore, said creativity.

There must be more to it - as the forums about Spore have very little to do with creativity any more.

The mind is more complex than that. There must be more.

I'm into Media stuff already, right now learning how to use all Adobe programs on school. School haven't been so funny in years

This forum unlike a lot of others has a high percentage of successful creators on it. It just so happens that these people don't use spore as their only outlet of creativity.
This forum is also full of fairly like-minded individuals. (see the political compass thread)
It is normal for people who are like minded to group together. It's a way of ensuring, in nature, that a certain set of characteristics are passed on.

But to be more on topic.
I've been recommended to go into several career paths; politics, law, journalism or become a professional historian.

The rate of creativity in this artistic-game forum appears to be a scientific discussion and the amazing explanation as to why there's a higher concentration of artistry than usual.
