What do you daydream about?

Lol I can never stand to not be doing something to keep me occupied somehow. Got stuck in the airport once when my flight got delayed for a couple hours. Had nothing to do, so it felt like the longest couple hours of my life. Would be nice to be able to slip off into a daydream at will, but it often occurs really randomly for me... Hence those times where my friend punched me awake. Took me a minute to remember where I was and what I had been doing.

If you want to daydream on cue, you should carefully observe your surroundings and then create an event that would make them more interesting - such as a robbery or an earthquake.

In those cases I like to turn the people around me into the cast of their own movie, sort of becoming their director, without ever lifting a finger.

I've never been much of a daydreamer, it rarely happens.

I do zone out every now and then whenver I'm bored and don't pay much attention, it happens at school a lot.

I don't daydream as far as i know. If i were to daydream it would be of living somewhere hot and sunny. With huge speakers to blast out my Megadeth and Metallica cd's.

It usually don't have much control over when I day dream, it often happens, even if I'm not all that bored. I just tend to wander off in my mind.

Do you see things when you daydream?

A daydream is pretty much like a normal dream, except often you have your eyes open, so yeah you see everything you would in a normal dream, except they are more often alot shorter. Hard to explain. Its sort of like being asleep while your awake......... trippy I know

I have never had a daydream then.

Daydreaming is more like creating some form of a memory based on whatever fantasy goes on in your mind. Usually, you focus on something and zone out completely. Sometimes, you can really forget where you are and upon snapping out of it you can confuse it with an actual memory.

Well, I didn't take the concept in such depth like you're defining it.

My examples in the first page were merely thoughts that made me abstract from reality for a bit, but all was in control, so to speak.


According to your definitions, I only had those "dreams" when I was fever'ish, but I'd rather treat them as hallucinations.

Last time I remember having one, I was part of the New California Republic, from the Fallout Universe, against the Caeser's Legion. But it wasn't pleasent at all. Probably because I was sick and wasn't feeling good at all.

I would describe daydreaming as a deep stream of thought that leads from one idea to the next. Before you now it, you're staring at the floor, but not seeing the floor. You are seeing what is in your head.

I daydream about ripping out of my skin and turning back into my dragon form and escaping this wretched human existence.

Oh wait, that's roleplay...

My daydreams are random. I daydream a lot while driving. Sometimes I'll forget which path I took to get to my destination since I was daydreaming at the time. I know it sounds scary but I've never crashed yet.

I daydream pretty often. Many of the times, it's about something I'd want to include in a fantasy novel - sometimes I imagine writing it; other times I'm more focused on the situation itself, that it's actually happening before me. Magic, epic battles, mysterious forests, prophecies, quests to save the world. Or conquer it. It can also be that I'm drawing it or is making song about it.

Lately I often imagine I'm playing a piano version of some of my favorite songs. I'm going to get a keyboard soon, and I'm quite excited about it. Eventually I will actually try and play some of those songs.

Having superpowers is something I daydream a lot about as well. Invisibility and the ability to control time are my favorites. What I imagine using them for a lot of the times is inappropriate mentioning here.

I day dreamed a lot today. Couldn't say what about, as over half of it isn't pg-13 . the longest day dream I had lasted almost an hour. I was laying down on the couch. It was roughly 3:30 when I zoned out. I came back into reality, it was almost 4:30

I do that all the time, but oddly enough when i stare at someone and daydream, I never dream about the person I am staring at. They just have the misfortune of being in my eyes gaze. Caused many awkward silences doing that.

I accidentally posted my last thing in the new years resolution thread. Weird, I swear I posted it here?

I had a daydream yesterday. I had to go pick up my last payment from Jake, so I had to drive to the hospital.

started driving and about 10 minutes in, I began to do what I normally do and drifted off into thought (though normally my thoughts only last a couple seconds).


Day dreampt about being abducted by aliens and taken back to their homeworld. Wasn't all that weird a daydream for me, but when I came around I was about to park my car. 40 minute drive to the hospital, 30 minutes of which I can't at all remember.

I often go into auto pilot mod when I daydream, but I find it somehow concerning that I do it while driving. Makes me feel I'm not in control when I drive
