Minestrone in minutes - Nigella Lawson recipe - Serves 2
Ingredients
Method
Serve hot and preferably with some sort of bread
Minestrone in minutes - Nigella Lawson recipe - Serves 2
Ingredients
- 400g Can of Mixed beans
- 300g Tomato based Pasta Sauce
- 750ml Veg based stock
- 100g soup pasta (i use angel hair spaghetti for this)
Method
- Drain the beans and put it in a pan along with the pasta sauce and stock.
- Bring to the boil
- Once it's boiling add the pasta and cook to the instructions on the packet (for angel hair spaghetti that's about 2-4 minutes)
- Once the pasta is done take it off the heat and let it stand for 5-10 minutes. This allows it to thicken
Serve hot and preferably with some sort of bread

Wow look at the enthusiasm!
Vek try that minestrone recipe, it take 20 minutes max if you get the right pasta, you never know you might, god forbid, like it.

Re: Cuisine
I make a good tomato sauce, forget the store-bough stuff.
Chop up half an onion (a full one if you make a big amount) and sauté with some olive or vegetable oil.
For each person, add about 250g of Pelati (peeled tomatos) and a bit water if necessary.
At your own pace, add a bit of tomato purée, a clove of garlic (pressed or whole as desired), one or two vegetable bouillon cubes, a teaspoon of sugar, a pinch of salt, pepper and oregano and stir it well.
Keep it on a low flame stirring it on occasion, meanwhile you can cook the pasta.
To make it a bolognese, sauté about 250g of ground meat per person with the onions before adding the other ingredients.
---------------------------------------------
The bolognese also goes well with lasagna.
For the bechamel sauce, melt some butter in a pan and take it off the heat, add equal parts of flour and slowly add milk, whisking constantly, until the mixture is smooth. Put it back on low heat, keep stirring it until it comes to a boil and add a pinch of salt and some nutmeg. Make sure its consistency is creamy, add more flour if necessary.
Lay out a layer of pasta noodles in a deep pan, spread a layer of bolognese over it as well as some bechamel. Repeat that until the pan is full or you run out. Finish off with grated mozzarella on the top layer.
Put it in the preheated oven at 200ºC (400ºF) for about 30 minutes.

Re: Cuisine
I call this now made-up recipe: Xasharr's Demise
Required:
4 Sausages
8 Strips of Bacon
1 Steak
1 Onion
1 Large Chicken
Mushrooms
Herbs
Honey
Some form of Animal Blood.
King Prawns
Muscles
1. Grab the chicken and slice at the back or at the bottom of the chicken carcass. Make sure the slit is big enough to put a fist in.
2. Spread the inside in a small layer of honey.
3. Start cooking the steak. Get it to a medium-rare state while following the other steps.
4. Glaze the outside of the Carcass in a small layer of honey and sprinkle herbs on top.
5. Slap on strips of bacon all around the honey-glazed carcass.
6. Chop up the sausages and make slits in the carcass again to comfortably put the slices. Make sure you don't slice all the way through to the inside.
7. By now, the steak should be as I have said. Cram the steak inside of the carcass. The bigger the steak, the easier it will be to fill up the whole inside. Add Onions if you want to.
8. Cook it slowly on a very low temperature for 4 hours. Make sure it is wrapped in Tin-Foil.
9. Once half-cooked, you should unwrap it and Pour the chosen Animal blood all over the carcass. Add sliced mushroom as well. More honey or an alternative sticky sauce will help to keep it on while cooking, but at this step it isn't necessary.
10. Put the carcass back in the oven and put it onto a reasonable heat. Check every 30 mins or so untill it looks cooked.
11. Cook your prawns and muscles and scatter them on a large plate around the cooked and completed carcass.
-------------------------------------------
I literally made this up I'll be surprised if someone actually tries this.
